Even if fireworks aren't legal in your area, here's your guide to fun on the 4th!

Aries feels right at home on the 4th of July! If you feel the urge to sneak out to a secluded spot and set off some homemade rockets, make sure it's not a fire hazard -- and that it's legal! On second thought, why not just stick to some good old-fashioned firecrackers? They're just your style!

Taurus brings a thick blanket and a picnic basket to the park at night, the better to lie back, relax and enjoy the show while eating yummy foods! Make a cheese cake and decorate it like the American flag using cherries, blueberries and whipped cream.

Gemini loves the way fireworks burst in the air in red and blue stars, silver streaks, golden sparkles ... Hang out with your pals on the 4th and prepare a speech for them that details the meaning and importance of Independence Day.

Cancer wants to see the fireworks with family and close friends. In fact, the 4th has special significance for you; you have an even stronger sense than most Signs of the importance of your country's beginnings.

Leo should use the night of the 4th as an excuse to get all dolled up and then run from blanket to blanket, chatting up all the eligible bachelors or bachelorettes! Think up a good pick-up line, something to do with fireworks and explosions ...

Virgo wants to organize the barbecue you'll be having on the 4th. Make sure everything's in order, all the plates standing ready and your American flag napkins all in a nice fan arrangement -- but don't forget to have fun!

Libra can't decide which celebration to attend on the 4th -- the fireworks in the park, the homemade rockets in your best friend's back yard, or your sweetie's parents' barbecue? -- and just might get stuck in transit with all the lights booming around them! Better leave the planning up to someone else -- a Virgo, perhaps!

Aquarius loves the 4th, as it's a chance to get out there and mingle. Find the biggest crowd in town -- and don't forget to bring along your new digital camera to record the lights and action! Use your toy to show off to your new friends.

Pisces has to be dragged outside on the night of the 4th to see the firework displays -- 'cause if no one reminds them, they just might forget it's even going on! Then, deep in their daydreaming, they'll pause for a moment and wonder what all the booming's about.

You're such a sweetheart for asking!! How have you been doing? I'm still going through a rough time, and really embarrassed to say, things have been stagnant. I'm still in the marriage with the Scorpio. It seems like the stars are against me yet and I've been spinning my wheels no matter what I've tried (I'm in the middle of this Saturn return - when does it end???), and though I've been applying for jobs like crazy, I haven't yet found one. Only when I get a job can I leave here, so everything's hanging on it... The Scorpio & I have been talking to a marriage counsellor, who I'm hoping will help him see that there are certain things we just can't make work, and that he'll be able to help him accept it when the time comes. He has been nicer lately though, so I feel badly for him. It's never easy, is it?

In the meantime, I have had little contact with the Pisces, except for a few emails we have exchanged once every few weeks or so. I did run into him about 3 months ago when I was in town, and from our conversation, I got the feeling he still cares... It just hurts so much that I can't reach out to him for emotional support through this tough time.

I'm going back to NC next week, and want to drop in to visit a couple of the companies there I'd applied for jobs at. I've got my fingers crossed that something will come through and get the ball rolling on some changes in my life.
