Uranian Perceptions

Speak your truth for the day.
Speak its opposite tomorrow,
when that too will be true.

All things are needful.
Words find the ears for them.

I speak for the stillness,
then I urge you to action.
Maybe you start to wonder yourself.
Your mind opens to receive a crazy wisdom.

Some baptize with water,
some baptize with fire;
I would purify you with this steam.

I draw you a yin/yang symbol,
the heads and tails of which are grey!
So now you will understand its meaning.

Some speak boldly for action,
and say "nothing comes from inaction".
But action comes from inaction,
and who can draw that thick grey line
that tells where inaction ends and action begins?

What changes we've seen in a sudden instant
were prepared for ages underground.

Confusion is a genius.
Fear is a prophet,
crying in the wilderness,
"Do not devalue your darkness!"
It is a call from your soul,
as lovely as your light.

The Sun is a brilliant light,
But light must be carried underground.
And only a candle can serve.

Have you been blinded in the darkest depths?
You will be blinded in the light, as well.
Look around you now.

Change with the seasons.
There is struggle there too.

Suffer and strive.

Be cautious, be still,
then rush headlong.
No other way to find the rhythm.

Who stumbles often soon learns the steps.

Cat Stevens - If You Want To Sing Out, Sing Out

Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
'Cause there's a million things to be
You know that there are

And if you want to live high, live high
And if you want to live low, live low
'Cause there's a million ways to go
You know that there are

[Chorus:]
You can do what you want
The opportunity's on
And if you can find a new way
You can do it today
You can make it all true
And you can make it undo
you see ah ah ah
its easy ah ah ah
You only need to know

Well if you want to say yes, say yes
And if you want to say no, say no
'Cause there's a million ways to go
You know that there are

And if you want to be me, be me
And if you want to be you, be you
'Cause there's a million things to do
You know that there are

[Chorus]

Well, if you want to sing out, sing out
And if you want to be free, be free
'Cause there's a million things to be
You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are
You know that there are

I love Cat Stevens, the lyrics and the SOUND.

I listen to the wind
to the wind of my soul
Where I'll end up well I think,
only God really knows
I've sat upon the setting sun
But never, never never never
I never wanted water once
No, never, never, never

I listen to my words but
they fall far below
I let my music take me where
my heart wants to go
I swam upon the devil's lake
But never, never never never
I'll never make the same mistake
No, never, never, never

And Holy Shakespeare, Steve-man!

"The Sun is a brilliant light,
But light must be carried underground.
And only a candle can serve."

Amazing!!!!! Thankyou!

I'm going to go post Peace Train on the Lyrics thread.

When I rure the world maybe they'rr notice me
But untir then I'rr just be ronery
Rittre ronery, poor rittre me
I'm so ronery

(I'm So Ronery sung by the mad dictator in
Team America for anyone who doesn't know... you better know, Steve! hehe)

I skipped a couple lines about him filling with rage, since it doesn't apply... well, TOO often... Thank goodness we have each other and LindaLand to keep us company while we are "looking for ourselves out there."
La, la la la lalala la la la la lala lalalala....

Thank you, Melody.

and...

hahahhahahahahahahahaha!!!!

I totally forgot about that song.

Yeah.
Totally.
I hear you.

Loneliness is the great theme, isn't it?

"No man is an island, entire of itself;
every man is a piece of the continent,
a part of the main....
any man's death diminishes me,
because I am involved in Mankind;
And therefore never send to know for whom the bell tolls;
It tolls for thee."

- John Donne

It tolls for THEE, Melody.

How depressing. Well, I guess I don't have to be so ronery then. My misery has company hehe. Well... I'm not THAT miserable. I'm actually quite... HAPPY (my mind begins to whistle Always Look On the Bright Side of Life)

How do you say miserable in Shakespearian?
Ahh, GOOGLE has the answer.
(When I say that, just imagine the clouds parting a' la' Monty and the Grail)

"Now is the winter of our discontent."

The Sage, Google, even tells me the meaning of this quote:
"The opening words of this play reflect the persona of Richard, a deformed angry man who hates the world that he believes hates him. In this soliloquy, we see the workings of his mind, and how he is always aware of his hideous appearance. "Deformed, unfinished, sent before" his "time into this breathing world, scarce half made up," his personality has grown warped. He is so ugly that the dogs on the street bark at him; women scorn him. And, so, since he "cannot prove a lover" he is "determined to be a villain." Shakespeare's Richard, with all his deformities, both of body and mind, is considered a physical manifestation of the corruption of the monarchy during the War of the Roses, a bloody moment in English history. In this long soliloquy, Richard makes no apologies for his villainy but rather embraces it and gives cause.

Themes/Keywords: evil, deformity, ambition, villainy "

Sounds like he is ronery. So, THEE, meaning ME has to be ronery too. *sigh* hehehe Or I can just try to shine brighter so he can find his way back? And not be so ronery? hehehe Getting giggly, and I only had one glass of wine about 2 hours ago.

My daughter keeps asking me why I am laughing and I tell her it is because of my computer friend, Steve. She is really excited because she loves Steve from Blue's Clues and she thinks anyone named "Steve" has to be great. hehehe

Joy Joy Joy
If another's pain and death is part of our own... then another's joy is also part of our own. But you already know that.
Cheer up!
I'm with you, buddy.
Mel and Steve! F-YEAH! Comin' to Save the M-F'in' DAY YEAH! LOL I bought that for my brother for Christmas, but I don't have a copy. I laughed so hard in the first 5 minutes of that movie, I thought I was going to have a heart attack, or die from lack of air.

Oh good, I'm glad you're not ronery.
You are so funny!!!
You just made me laugh about six times.
Okay, a few of those were just big smiles,
but, hey, its hard to make me laugh -
my humor is sooooo sophisticated, lol.

My daughter keeps asking me why I am laughing and I tell her it is because of my computer friend, Steve. She is really excited because she loves Steve from Blue's Clues and she thinks anyone named "Steve" has to be great. hehehe

Thats the coolest thing I have heard all day.

Mystic and Cross give today TWO THUMBS UP!!!

I personally enjoyed the drama and the comedy. It was very realistic and yet, filled with synchronicity. It had an uplifting message. I give it a thumbs up!
