I wasnt sure what to title this thread...i felt something tonight something i hadnt felt in forever maybe never i felt relaxed do you know what that is? because i didnt i needed the sanctuary of a woman do you know what that is? because i didnt "have you ever been experienced?" (dont take that for granted) have you ever felt safe? have you ever let go? relaxed, and felt the soul rise up to meet your feet? I know you we have talked in doctors' offices outside the city spoken softly in quiet corners we have shared such things but i never held your hand and why? "is this okay? is THIS?" those hours in the bath with a book of peaceful insights and lavender waters... i emerged feeling something sacred touched it once and i was restless again because I had to write it down was i still feeling it? it didnt matter, i had dragged something up it needed to be said so here i am again for the first time but then she called me up she could see where i was still, i tried to tell her tried to speak from this wisdom like a fool she said, "you are safe" she pulled sighs from my depths and i felt it all over again it hadnt left me we spoke of what it was "you are safe" she said in that impossible voice of hers what is this feeling? and what is a good woman? I thought to myself "sanctuary" yes, that was the word that's what it was... it takes you by the body leads you beside the still waters and lays you down in green pastures like an invisible mother so you let it even though the fears drift by still somewhere in the corners of your eyes and you dont turn to look because she has her hand on your cheek and she can hold you in her eye and with every soft breath she breathes she's still pulling sighs from your restless depths

Leonard Cohen - Suzanne Suzanne takes you down to her place near the river You can hear the boats go by You can spend the night beside her And you know that she's half crazy But that's why you want to be there And she feeds you tea and oranges That come all the way from China And just when you mean to tell her That you have no love to give her Then she gets you on her wavelength And she lets the river answer That you've always been her lover And you want to travel with her And you want to travel blind And you know that she will trust you For you've touched her perfect body with your mind. And Jesus was a sailor When he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching From his lonely wooden tower And when he knew for certain Only drowning men could see him He said "All men will be sailors then Until the sea shall free them" But he himself was broken Long before the sky would open Forsaken, almost human He sank beneath your wisdom like a stone And you want to travel with him And you want to travel blind And you think maybe you'll trust him For he's touched your perfect body with his mind.
Now Suzanne takes your hand And she leads you to the river She is wearing rags and feathers From Salvation Army counters And the sun pours down like honey On our lady of the harbour And she shows you where to look Among the garbage and the flowers There are heroes in the seaweed There are children in the morning They are leaning out for love And they will lean that way forever While Suzanne holds the mirror And you want to travel with her And you want to travel blind And you know that you can trust her For she's touched your perfect body with her mind

OMG, Steve, did you write the first one? I don't know how long you've been seeing your Aqua, but you HAVE to share it with her sometime! A poetry reading, perhaps over a candlelight dinner... what's not to love?!Sunshine ps. You're one feeling Scorpio, yet there's something very Piscean about you!! Again, you remind me of my Pisces - he's written me the loveliest epistles, oftentimes late at night, when he'd be up thinking about me!! IP: Logged |

Thanks, Zala. I love the way you love the way I write. And thank you, Sunshine. Yes, I wrote it, and, indeed, there's plenty where that came from, lol, and, certainly, I share it with her ALL the time and she is in 7th heaven. No worries. Candlelight sounds lovely, but, with or without the candles, we make our own light.
Stephen ps. I've always felt very Piscean, in some ways, and not at all in others. Besides the fact that Neptune is transitting my 1st house... Pisces touches my 1st house, and my SNode is in Pisces... My stellium (sun/venusrx/mc/uranus) is in the Pisces decan of Scorpio, and there's a lot to suggest that decans are more important than most astrologers give them credit for... My 1st house moon is in hard aspect to my neptune singleton; its "only" a semi-square, but I've read that close semi-squares are just as powerful as wide squares, and mine is less than a degree from exact. Neptune is also the closest aspect (a sextile) to my sun-sign ruler (Pluto), which squares my ascendant. I have also read that, when a planet makes a soft aspect to a planet that makes a hard aspect, a lot of the tension from the hard aspect get channeled into that soft aspecting planet (i.e. neptune). All of which makes practical sense. I think so many astrologers seek to "simplify" chart interpretation in ways that deny very essential "details". There are exceptions to every rule, and those exceptions can radically change the rules of the game. "Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler." - Albert Einstein pps. Your Pisces guy sounds (even more) wonderful. IP: Logged | |
