Africa is 1 place ive always wanted to visit..i love the people and the cultures...love Nigerian food..yummy Egusi and Jollof rice..

I think its sad though that some corrupt governments are forcing hardship on thier people..

Just wondering why you dont want people who have been to Africa to respond?

I would have to say that I see it as a land of contradictions. First of all, I think of the natural beauty, the sites you would see on a safari......almost a "magical" place; THEN I think of the political unrest, the war-torn countries, the poverty and hunger and of course, the HIV crisis.

I think of it as beautiful, and stripped of its resources. Like a business that has great inventory but bad managment. I also visualize war, poverty, and disease.
I've had the pleasure of meeting a few people from Ethiopia. They are very well mannered with inviting personalities (:

For anyone interested: Please go to Kryon.com and read the channelling done at the UN in 2006. Kryon speaks of the future of Africa. It is so amazing and hopeful. I think Angelina Jolie is bringing a lot of attention to Africa and she is why I got to looking things up on the internet about it. I am always interested in how things happen in other lands.

I also think of pure nature corrupted by politics. I only know what I have learned from movies. I am impressed that "thirteen" is learning more about Africa, and I look forward to receiving an education on the subject from you, Abo, and everyone who has been there.
