anyone have any? im doing good so far...heres a tip someone told me which helped a lot: cut a straw the size of a cig, and hold it the way you would a cig...it HELPS, ive tried it, and something about it stops the cravings...its a psychological thing... ------------------ "WHATEVER the soul longs for, WILL be attained by the spirit" "Love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation" -Khalil Gibran IP: Logged |

The best time to quit smoking is on the New Moon phase. To be exact, on the eve of the New Moon when the Moon enters the sign it will be transiting when the New Moon occurs or if it does not change the sign then on the very day when the New Moon occurs. http://www.life-cycles-destiny.com/dw/20012010.htm IP: Logged |

One time I coincided it with already being a little sick, so the little sickness that comes immediately could blend with whatever I already had.Another good thing is to psyche yourself up for it. That helped me. I spent a lot of time getting my life in order and my self-esteem up, and then plunged into it. It became just another thing I was working at being proud of myself for. The patch can actually work IF you do it for as long as they recommend. It does require quite a bit of commitment. I'm still amazed at how long I've been a non-smoker now. It's been over a year and a half. IP: Logged |

AND-I first weened down to three per day. after six months of this i used nicotine gum and lozenges. i am smoke free over 1 year now. i never thought i could do it. if i can-anyone can-believe me. i still use lozenges occasionally when cravings hit- used alot of 4 mg nicotine gum in the beginning. as long as you get the nicotine your body is fine- then once the smoking is gone-you can do without the nicotine after awhile. i wouldn't recommend cold turkey to anyone- but my mom did it cold turkey. oh- and the weight gain stuff they scare you with is just a MYTH-i gained nothing IP: Logged |
