I haven't read ALL of Linda's works, but as far as black/white & shades of grey go- I do know one thing it is an ABSOLUTE. If I spill water on my floor, it will ABSOLUTELY get wet!

I am reminded of Neo at the home of the seer. Remember that you cannot bend the spoon with your mind; that might be impossible. Rather, know that there is no spoon.

Don't think outside of the box. Know that there is no box.

Don't spill water on the floor. Know that there is no floor.

But I know what you mean, Kim. All this spiraling doesn't work well in the mundane creation of life, when one is waiting for the 1/9 subway.

I do not believe in absolutes because I do see the shadings.

Ahhhh Look at this. A lovely display. A calm, thoughtful and inspiring exchange of ideas. Wasn't it fun?

Thank you, dear trill, for the vote of confidence. You sure do worry the first time around. The doctors tell me ETA is October 7th. But I don't believe the little guy has a datebook in there, so I suppose he'll show up when he's damn well good and ready.

I like this thread too
I like how Linda Goodman writes, very easy for me to assimilate. I do not agree with her totally on everything, but a lot of what she writes does very muchly resonate with me. No one else's Truth can be mine 100% of the time (and it must be so since it rhymes!). I learn more about my Me by reading & interacting with others Truths and running them through my own HigherSelf to See what is True for Me.
It's almost like we're all our own self contained UniVerses that are brushing up against one another energetically and as above, so below...far out!
Also where black (darkness) & white (light) meet sometimes there's a blending which = grey (chaos or balance...choose your own adventure!)

While reading this thread this song came to me:

Lateralus

Black then white are, all i see in my infancy.
Red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
Lets me see.

As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn beyond the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition, missing opportunities and I must
Feed my will to feel my moment drawing way outside the lines.

Black then white are, all i see in my infancy.
red and yellow then came to be, reaching out to me.
lets me see
there is so much more and beckons me
to look thru to these infinite possibilities.
As below, so above and beyond, I imagine
drawn outside the lines of reason.
Push the envelope. Watch it bend.

Over thinking, over analyzing separates the body from the mind.
Withering my intuition leaving opportunities behind.
Feed my will to feel this moment, urging me to cross the line.
Reaching out to embrace the random.
Reaching out to embrace whatever may come.

(I embrace my
desire to 2x)
feel the rhythm, to
feel connected,
enough to step aside and,
weep like a widow, to
feel inspired, to
fathom the power, to
witness the beauty, to
bathe in the fountain, to
swing on the spiral, to
swing on the spiral, to

swing on the spiral of
our divinity and
still be a human

With my feet upon the ground I move myself between the sounds and open wide to suck it in.
I feel it move across my skin.
I'm reaching up and reaching out. I'm reaching for the random or what ever will bewilder me.
what ever will bewilder me.
And following our will and wind we may just go where no one's been.
We'll ride the spiral to the end and may just go where no one's been.
(Spiral out. Keep going. 4x)

`Who are you?' said the Caterpillar. This was not an encouraging opening for a conversation. Alice replied, rather shyly, `I--I hardly know, sir, just at present-- at least I know who I WAS when I got up this morning, but I think I must have been changed several times since then.'

Life is too mysterious to be black and white....there are lots of shades of grey.

I remember once when my mother was saying that all gay people "did it" for attention (haha) to which my father retorted..."life isnt always so black and white dear, there are always shades of grey"..

How boring it would be if everything was so set in stone.....

Shades of..

black, white, grey, pink, orange, green, blue, purple, black, red, yellow...etc etc etc

Tink~ You worry the third time around too, and most likely, the twelfth. And.....
it never ends.

You WILL be wonderful.
I wish you a clear and miraculous feeling, exhillarating birth, that is no longer than it has to be to prepare you and results in a perfect and healthy child. You can do it!

Did you say Boy?

Wow. Hexxie~ Is this a band?
I have not heard of them... but if they have lyrics like those, I am entranced!

Yay hippichick! I'm going next week 9/7 (the Full Moon Partial Lunar eclipse!)

Hi Pix2 (that's spose to be Pix squared). Perhaps you have heard of them?! The band is called TOOL and this above album that this song is on is called LATERALUS (just like that song). They're a bit dark and have quite a Mars-y vibe, but I love them teehhee.

Tink... a boy! Are you starting to get more nervous as the due date approaches? I find that I'm just as anxious about labor/delivery as I was the first time. It's starting to become so real now that it's so close. (Well, it was always real, but now it's more tangible!) And Pix, too... here's some for you. Thinking about my fellow mamas to be!

*Back on track*

Fayte, I just wanted to say that I really loved what you wrote in your first post. I, too, see things almost entirely in shades... of gray, red, blue, green (I like that idea! I can't remember which one of you said it on page one. Why stop at gray!)

Interesting question. Interesting answers.
