And that story is true, by the way.

Good Job Johnny!
That story freaked the crap out of me.

I hate that it's real and that I completely believe you, because stuff like that freaks me out.
If I hadn't had some 'unexplainable' things happen to me as a child, I don't know.. it just doesn't seem real.. but I hear you....

what do you think the significance of the bag was? Do you think the woman was trying to hand you razorblades to harm yourself..or did she kill herself with one...
..the questions.

good story~

Meu Deus! The razors...I think the bag was meant to harm him if he stuck his hand inside it (hence the razors inside it).

Good Story!

Aw, you're all too nice. Thanks!! I know, creepy story, but it really is true. Still have the marble, even.

Lovely, I hadn't thought of that... ew. I *think* she was just an old woman who died on the couch, not a suicide, but, then, I really don't know. Egad, thanks for the extra freakiness, there.

But really, anyone who tries to give a 5-year-old a bag of razors is up to no good, IMO. Brr. Or maybe she thought that that was what I was looking for, and was just trying to be helpful?

Sue, I have a few more, but they're all boring. How about you? I'd love to hear you guys' scary stories.

Thanks, And - yeah, I won a copy of his book John Dies at the End. I actually read it online, when he first wrote it. It's hilarious.

Haha, Pix! You ought to share your stories - we could all scare each other silly.

Thanks, y'all.

.....great story.....

What an experience that must have been....and yes, a bit on the "creepy" side......and I'm glad they got rid of that couch....

Love,
Rainbow~

Johnny Well done. Excellent imagery; you really drew me in. Congratulations. You could probably expand that into a longer short story or novella, or even a screenplay. It almost begs for development. There are myriad things you could do with that hand, and the bag of razors.

I realize it's a true story, but in a lot of fiction there lies some truth. We cull our images from our lives, or steal them from the lives of our friends. That hand could reappear some day. Or the couch could. Or both. Give the razor label a name that has some sort of meaning and have that word/name start to appear.

You write very well, Johnny, and I very much enjoyed your story.

Yeah, I have to say, ever since readng that story, I feel like a kid at night, when I walk by my bed in the dark, I practically jump on it, so no hand will come out and grab my foot.

hahahaha.. i know it's ridiculous mind tricks, but you spooked me good!
I'd love to hear some more.
As Trillian said.. this needs expanding!
Especially with your stunning and affectionately familiar wit, Johnny, you'd write the kind of books I'd want to read. Even if they do haunt me.

You don't *actually* want to hear mine... as a matter of fact, I recall writing it out somewhere on LL in recent years.. way back in 03/04 I think. I doubt I could find it....
Yours has a Universal spook factor, mine is a more personal freaky one.

Thanks again, all. Aha, Sue, congrats on winning the Best Dancer title - I bet you're the life of that gym.

Mirandeem, don't worry. Surely no one died on any of your furniture. Almost certainly not.

Heh, Trillian, you're right - they could show up... Wonder if that couch is still around, somewhere... Always nice to see you around here, by the way.

quote:
...when I walk by my bed in the dark, I practically jump on it...

Eek, Pix, hate to admit it, but I do that too. Though a hand reaching out and grabbing your foot would make for a great story...

'Personal freaky one?' You're just getting me more curious, y'know.

Gah, you're all too nice.

That really happened?! For real and for true??!! Weirdness.

You did tell it well. It was punchy and clever, much like your posting style. You may be on something there. Er, I mean, on TO something there. heh heh.

I do believe you, though. I've had more than a few freeky encounters myself. Being tapped on the shoulder while alone in a room, seeing a figure walk by while half asleep on the couch, convinced it was my friend going into the porch to hide something. (we got into an arguement later because I insisted I saw him, and couldn't figure out why he would lie, other than to hide something from me. He swore it wasn't him and got mad at me...in a house that had a few freeky corners)....ahh, there's a few more stories there.

I definately know that the other dimensions can and do intermingle with ours on a regular basis.

Freeky stuff. Fascinating.
