Okay.
Like in 'American Beauty', how the bag 'dancing' was beautiful.
I spent my walk today looking at a plastic coffee top rolling as if by itself down the street. It looked like it was having a wicked good time.
It would stop at the sidewalk, then wait, then roll again on the street. This went on for about twelve blocks. Straight.
There was a playfulness about it,it acted like it knew what it was doing and though I know I am personifying and I know what Tim Robbins feels like when he writes his books, it was a little moment that I wanted to share here, and I will probably not think about the seeming magic of it much as I go on to my day to day.
But I have recorded it for posterity.

How are all y'all?
I'm afraid the business of brewing a baby has taken me away from what I used to be.
Times and seasons.

I want to get lost in that sort of thought process, maybe soon....

Hows being pregnant going? Is it a boy or girl? I voted boy.

Maklhouf, have you ever read Tom Robbins books?
They are so philosophical, playful, factual and whimsical.
You should look in to it, you'd probably get a kick out of it.

That's interesting you bring something like that up, at times it does seem things(objects)take on a certain life of their own. It's just most of the time we don't stop to notice the the little things around us in this world, that manage to be there even in the most mundane way

I've also felt a particular life coming from all of our old wooden furniture...like the energy around the coffee table (for instance) 'sizzles' just ever so slightly. I especially felt this way when I was a very young child.

tissues definately have a life. i just blew my nose and tossed it. it looks like a gardenia!

lovely.... Loved what you said about the tissue!!

I watched whilst I was driving yesterday how the leaves swirled around the car....how they danced so gracefully...

Enchanting it was....

Well I do a magic act with coat hangers... now you may think coat hangers just sit on the rail until used however I'm afraid you are sorely mistaken!

They have a secret life as Acrobats and flying trapeze artists in "The Wardrobe State Circus!!"

What happens is I open the wardrobe door very slowly... and then (after the drum roll has begun,) I gingerly touch the edge of the lead Coat Hanger (he's very temperemental... these artistes always are you know) and he leaps off the rail in a death-defying fall, sending the clothes that were hanging on his back tumbling to the floor!!

Then, just at the last minute, he hooks onto his neighbour, and he in turn hooks onto the next and the next and the next, until they form a spectacular hanging mess, rather reminiscent of a modern sculpture!!!

It's a breathtaking sight I can tell you and you should hear the gasps from the crowd (and the four letter expletives from me!) If anyone wishes to see this fantastic act, we'll be appearing at a Wardrobe near you.

PixelPixie... is today the day? Thinking open-legged thoughts for you!

Good luck!

I wanted to email you, but the account where I had your address has expired. In any case, I'm going to the hospital this evening to have my little one. This is bittersweet... I'm opposed to being induced without a medical reason, but due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to make a decision between two unappealing choices.

*trying to get excited anyway*

I guess the bottom line is that she'll be here soon. Most likely she'll be a Friday the 13th baby.

Wow, pixie! I did not even know you were pregnant! (Not very observant, see). Congratulations! Hope all goes well.

Yeah, actually now you mention it, I constantly think inanimate objects are alive... lol. Well, I think that I have OCD might contribute a bit... how I position stuff drives me nuts. Oh, I think it about toys a lot! But it's kinda hard not to... haha and probably books too.

Oh, and when we think about it.... aren't we all like tissues...? Isn't the world just one big tissue box of promise and a sticky end??
