Nothing like your community disappearing for a couple days to remind you of how fragile our threads really are. If you don't have another way of contacting your friends here then you'd have no way of knowing if anything bad ever happened to them should they suddenly disappear.Nephthys emailed me today still concerned about MysticMelody having disappeared. She suggested that we ought to keep a little better track of one another. So with all that said, if you want people to keep in touch, and be concerned with your well being let someone else here know how they can get a hold of you. Create an email account just for your online friends if you're concerned with privacy. IP: Logged |

I agree AG. In my online home we have had a similiar issue when the database crashed. The moderators then decided to have postal address and contact numbers or chat id's of other moderators just in case. Even though I do not attribute extreme importance to online relations, it has eventually evolved to be apart of my life and at this point of time I will have to say that each one of you are important to my life and it really scares when these things happen. A few of you are on my MySpace list and hence I know/knew what was happenning, but still scary!------------------ If you are taking a walk through the garden of life what do you think youŽd expect you would see? The LL Photoshop was and is a good way to connect when LL is down.------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." LL PhotoShop is great for forum type messages, but I'm not sure it's great for mass emailing, because people like myself seldom use the email account associated with MSN. I did check my hotmail account this morning, and I didn't receive Pid's mass email. If anyone wants to volunteer to catalog people's email addresses it could be a good voluntary way for us all to keep in touch. You guys can exchange e-mail addresses at Photoshop (or another place), but please limit posting of them for any length of time at LL. Light attracts darkness, and we have some rather nasty lurkers trolling about LL occasionally. ------------------ "There is no use trying," said Alice; "one can't believe impossible things." That is true Randall!!There is an option on photoshop whether to receive e-mail when a new message is posted. I used that option and for those that option listed, they got the e-mail. You can also hide your e-mail address and still receive the notices IP: Logged |

AG ~ I didn't know you posted this ~ I just mentioned the same thing at the other thread! Well thanks for mentioning my suggestion. The only thing about the LL Photoshop is that I am *not* a member, because I don't like to sign up for stuff that ~ I remember a long time ago it asked me to sign up for all these things and I just said forget it. So maybe I'll just give some of you my phone #. IP: Logged |

AG and Neph! I got so sick that I didn't watch the last episode of Rock Star, can you believe it? Every minute of every episode before that with all but the first 3 or so taped and my head was under such extreme pressure that I was almost in another world before I went to the hospital. You have NO idea how good it feels to know you both noticed I was gone. God Bless You Both, you add a LOT to my life!!! Hi Randall, I bet you can see how valuable this contribution of yours is to this world at times when the site goes down for a couple days. You give us all SO MUCH and I say that with such a sincere heart. Lia, thanks for your steadfast support of our friends! Lotus, I hope you feel better, and I see that in your way you are supporting your friend, Randall who has done so much for you. I hope you send some love AG's way too, and I hope you two find some common ground. Life is too short. Love Y'all.
