I just wanted to give a shout out to all the Knowflakes that worked hard to find and help fix the problem. I would also like to propose a few suggestions. Thank you AG for pulling things together and getting the word out through the transient website and finding a solution to the temporary problem. http://www.forumspring.com/transient/viewtopic.php?t=8&mforum=transient Thorshammer, Your research really kicked butt, thank you for finding the problem and showing us how to solve it. To all those that rallied together, spiritually, financially and with all the good thoughts that have been send to LL THANK YOU!!!!

You are the man!! I know it has to be hard with your busy schedule and having to run / pay for this site. Thank you for all that you do. Suggestions: 1) LindaLand belongs to all of us and by that I mean we need to all pull together to help her keep going. I would like to see a gauge that shows us how much we need to raise to meet our monthy or quarterly goals financially. If we have "thermometer" at the top of each page we'll know if more contributions are needed. There will be no pressure to pay, no registration fees, just a gentle reminder of how to keep our site afloat  2) We need some type of system that will allow us to contact each other. I love the MSN photoshop because there is an option to e-mail everyone that is signed up. At the same time- let's get the word out for people to check it if the site is ever down for news and information.
http://groups.msn.com/LindalandPhotoShop AG made a cute site, I think we should keep that option open as well. I will be putting this on several forums. I really think people pulled together and it was a beautiful sight to see!!! Lot's of Love!!! ~Pidaua

Odd, I thought I was a member of the photoshop, I never received a message.. I couldn't answer as to why it was down when I was emailed.Thanks for letting us know how it was resolved.
Was it a financial issue?
I didn't realize it was....... surely, we'd all rally together for the love of this site had we known it would be offline if we didn't..
as an option, there are always pressing matters, but as a spiritual obligation, it is important.
I guess there's a lesson.

I didn't realize this was an "across the web" malfunction. I thought it was my cheap computer that wouldn't let me in here. I didn't even find the temporary one that AG put up.
I'm so glad LL is back. I didn't realize how much I enjoy this place, or how often I visit here, but I do now!

I was thinking of a "Phone Tree" kind of contact list. I was actually thinking of this a couple weeks ago when Mystic Melody never replied back on our Rockstar thread. It is just not like her to not reply there, she was always the first one to reply after a show, then AG and I and a couple others replied there. Well I really worry that something has happened to her. Of course, I don't get around LL nearly as much as everyone else, so I don't know if she's posted elsewhere..........I only have time to pop in and out of a couple threads quickly.
Anyhow, my point is that, if something were to happen to one of us, and we never replied again to a thread, and never responded to any e=mails, how would we know if the Knowflake in question was okay??????
Maybe we could think of some type of Phone Tree ~ of course, only give your phone # to people you are comfortable with and trust.
Just an idea ~ ~ ~ And if anyone has heard from Mystic Melody or seen her post, let me know so I can stop worrying!!! Thanks.    IP: Logged |
