We all know that we have at least one song that we listen to that makes us feel guilty when we do! You secretly listen to hear but feel somewhat embarrassed that you do but you don't care. But you wouldn't want your friends and relatives to know about it.
So, what is your " guilty pleasure song?"
I will start the ball rolling..

Mine is Britney Spears Baby One More Time It is Pop at its most...

when I am not with you, I lose my mind...

Mine is along the same lines Yang.

Here is one of them:

BACKSTREET BOYS LYRICS

"All I Have To Give"

I don't know what he does to make you cry
But I'll be there to make you smile
I don't have a fancy car
To get to you I'd walk a thousand miles
I don't care if he buys you nice things
Does his gifts come from the heart?
I don't know
But if you were my girl
I'd make it so we'd never be apart

[Chorus:]
But my love is all I have to give
Without you I don't think I could live
I wish I could give the world to you
But love is all I have to give

When you talk (when you talk) does it seem like he's not
Even listening to a word you say?
That's okay babe, just tell me your problems
I'll try my best to kiss them all away
Does he leave (does he leave) when you need him the most?
Does his friends get all your time?
Baby please
I'm on my knees
Praying for the day that you'll be mine

[Chorus]

[Bridge:]
To you... (hey girl) hey girl, I don't want you to cry no more inside
All the money in the world could never add up to all the love
I have inside... I love you

And I will give it to you
All I can give, all I can give
Everything I have is for you
But love is all I have to give

[Chorus (3x)]

But my love is all I have to give
Without you I don't think I can live
I wish I could give the world to you
But love is all I have to give... to you

I'm drawn to this thread like a fly to honey but ironically, I can't answer your question cos nearly every song I truly love is shameful but I'm more than happy to share them with everyone I know.
The main culprits include:
Any song froma decent musical- I will mainly sing along to ones from Grease and Annie I have on cassette
Billy Joel- especially My Life, Zanzibar, Innocent Man, She's always a Woman... the list goes on...
Shakira- I love Shakira.
The Bee Gees!- I also love the Bee Gees. Particularly Saturaday Night Fever songs.
ABBA- Nearly every Abba song. To be accompanied with theatrical dancing.
Spice Girls- My childhood heroes.
Britney Spears- Yang, yes I love that song!

Oh. And I have an I Love the 70s CD.

There. I defy anyone to be beat me in complete lameness and indulgence in guilty pleasure. Because there is no one.
Have YOU danced in your underwear to ELO????

My playlists have embarassing songs that span the generations. I have whole piles of Barry Manilow and many single songs from "artists" like Wham, I have many loved favorites from Run DMC, Beastie Boys, and Twisted Sister... and don't tell my buddies that I have a Tiffany song. (Which is the equivalent of Brittany to my generation.) I've got Poison, Peter, Paul and Mary, and Peter Cetera (Glory of Love from Karate Kid).
(I just listened to "Rockin' Robin" and now it's playing "Tricky" by Run DMC.)
More "P"'s Patsy Cline and Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Pat Benetar and the group/artist that NO ONE CAN BEAT.......
The Partridge Family
I like their Christmas Album, what can I say.
P.O.D., Papa Roach and Ozzy are right before them. hehe I'm a weirdo.

I also have a bunch of country songs on my list because my Pisces friend Heather sang them for karaoke and I liked them. She also made me listen to the song "My Humps" until it slightly grew on me and I actually downloaded it, to my secret shame. It's really the only song on my list that actually embarasses ME, but I know most of my other choices would be embarassing to others.

I love that Britney song too...!!

I like Boy meets girl, Waiting for a star to fall...its cheesey but it lifts me up!!

Loads more I am sure...be back later....if I dare...

Love all types of music so theres gonna be some dodgy stuff in there, for sure..

Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
Im begging of you please dont take my man
Jolene, jolene, jolene, jolene
Please dont take him just because you can
Your beauty is beyond compare
With flaming locks of auburn hair
With ivory skin and eyes of emerald green
Your smile is like a breath of spring
Your voice is soft like summer rain
And I cannot compete with you, jolene

Yayyyy, AG is a weirdo like me. Is it Barry? Nothing to be ashamed about there, he's the man. Mr. Emotion.

Now, if it's Wham or Tiffany, there's going to be some good natured ribbing, I can't help that. hehe I only admit to a yearly listen to "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go" hehehe and the Tiffany is a sappy girl love song, um, I have to check, I don't even remember what it's called. I used to make fun of her mercilessly but what can I say, it takes me back to my youth. Ok, it's called "Could Have Been" as in "Could have been so beautiful, could have been so right, could have been my lover, every day of myyyyyy life" etc. I have lots of sappy love songs, probably why I like Barry.
Ok, your turn for humilation, be brave.

Nothing to be ashamed of AG! I actually like all the songs and artists everyone has listed (okay, except for the partridge family and babs streisand).........

That song makes me remember when I thought George Michael was STRAIGHT and had posters of him on my wall.........hahahaha!

I have too many to mention but Whatta Man by Salt-n-pepa has to be one of my all time favorites .......... I still laugh everytime I listen to it. (Come to think about it, Shoop makes me laugh, too.......)

Keep it coming; these are great!

I'm gonna have to download that one, AG

I think it's Limp Biskit? that does the new and improved version of "Faith", I like that one too.

Well, in defense of the Partridge Family Christmas Album , here are the lyrics to "My Christmas Card To You":

"To you and all your family, your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy
with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time
and all the whole year through

I'm looking out my window
at the softly falling snow
that dances in the early morning light
I got my guitar right before me,
strummin' a beautiful sound
watching it a-comin' down,
all around
on the fields and the farms
and the road to town

And I'm thinkin' up a letter
that I'm writin' in my head
a Christmas card to all the folks I love
Instead of lettin' the postman bring it,
I decided I'd rather sing it
especially for you,
for you

To you and all your family,
your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy
with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time
and all the whole year through

May your life be filled with sunshine,
may your every wish come true
May you find the sweet fulfillment
in everything you do
May your days be blessed
with the very very best
both now and the whole year through
it says so in my Christmas card to

You and all your family,
your neighbors and your friends
May all your days be happy
with a joy that never ends
May peace and love surround you
at Christmas time
and all the whole year through

at Christmas time
and all the whole year through"

How can you not love that?

Ah, you know it. [lovely*] Nothing like the gospel according to George.

Truth be told another one you'd find from them in my music collection that I really love is, "Everything She Wants."

MysticM,

I forgot to curse Barry Manilow earlier. What nerve he has winning an Emmy over two of my favorite entertainers: Stephen Colbert and Craig Ferguson!! Grrrr!
I prefer Niel Diamond anyway. He and Barry may not be in the same category, but for some reason growing up I always got them confused.

I'm trying to find another that would be really damning, but I don't think I'll find anything worse than George Michael. Can I make it worse? Well, I used to borrow my sister's record of his, and rock out and dance to his music in my room.

I hated Limp Bizkit's remake of Faith. It wasn't musically accurate (they took too much license in changing the chords), and that annoyed me.

Shut UP AG, Barry writes the songs that make the WHOLE WORLD SING!!! lol
I watch him on PBS and I cry like the girl I am. Of course I cry when they win a new car on the Price is Right too. I'm just so happy for them.

I have Neil Diamond too. hehe

I love the rockin' Faith song, I downloaded the original and thought it was stinky. I don't listen to it, EVER.

Oh god, I wouldn't even know where to begin here. I was just singing Grease's "Hopelessly Devoted to Youuuuuuuuuuuu", and "Ohhhh, Sannndy, Ba-ay-by" last night with full blown dramatics.

The Carpenters, The Bee Gees, Jesus Christ SuperStar, all the goofy-bubble-gum pop of the 60's...the list goes on and on.

George Michael, it's definately "Careless Whisper". It gets me everytime.

Careless Whisper

I feel so unsure,
As I take your hand and lead you to the dance floor.
As the music dies...
Something in your eyes,
Calls to mind a silver screen,
And all those sad goodbyes.

CHORUS
I'm never gonna dance again,
Guilty feet have got no rhythm.
Though it's easy to pretend,
I know you're not a fool.

I should have known better than to cheat a friend,
And waste the chance that I'd been given.
So I'm never gonna dance again,
The way I danced with you.
CHORUS

Time can never mend,
The careless whispers of a good friend.
To the heart and mind,
If your answer's kind...
There's no comfort in the truth,
Pain is all you'll find.

REPEAT CHORUS

What am I without your love?

sigh...Who could resist that kind of emotion?

Speaking of George, it always amazes me when I hear someone thought he was straight.
You did see him in Wham! dancing a go-go in his silky satin daisy-duke shorts?
It's not like he was demure about it.
