Just found out that my uncle has Stage 2 Bladder Cancer. He is only 46 years old.My heart goes out to my aunt who has been a very loyal and wonderful wife. She's never left his side all through his problems. And he's got lots. I would appreciate any and all prayers you guys can spare for him and his family. Miss Muffet IP: Logged |

miss_ muffet.. My prayers are with you and yours... Bladder cancer is very surviveable (sp) My father had it.. He had his bladder and prostate (usually the next place it goes) removed. He did also lose function in a kidney.... But it has been 6 years last month... and he is cancer free He was 58. Here's hoping for the best IP: Logged |

Thank you guys so much...We are still hoping for a miracle. He's on a new drug right now as our last hope for the next few days... Then the most dreaded surgery to remove the whole bladder which means (I was told), they will poke a hole on the side so he can urinate for the rest of his life (if he survives the surgery). Then, there is still no guarantee that the cancer will not come back. My poor aunt. She's been through so much for the last 2 years already. Thank you so much guys... prayers surely helps. I will keep updating you with info on his health. Miss Muffet IP: Logged |

Yes, they remove the whole bladder. With my dad, you would never know. I'm sure it's difficult, but worth it. Bladder cancer is very slow growing...hopefully, it has not spread. My prayers are with him... I know it sounds like a horrible thing with a bag and all.. but it's not so much.. and he doesn't complain.. when you think of the alternative.. And he recovered quickly with no chemo. Try to stay positive Love and Light IP: Logged |

Thank you all...Thank you for the information Stargazer... I hope it hasn't spread either. We are still hoping for the alternative - that he doesn't go through the surgery at all... Sigh... I am glad that your dad recovered. I hope he will too. Miss Muffet IP: Logged |
