so I meet my girls parents in about a month and I start to think about it more and more. so why am I saying its a unique experience? the language barrier! I don't speak french besides a few basic words and they don't speak english, besides a few basic words.sooo, what do you think? I have been able to send a happy b day email to her mom and two others..she sent me two emails and a happy b day email as well (gf didn't even remind her too!! I am amazed). After some figuring out I found her mom is an extremly emotional cancer. haha. IP: Logged |

In the next few weeks, cram as much french learning in as you can. Get one of those teaching CD's/DVD's, you can rent them from the library I'll bet... It'd be a great cultural experience for you, and would impress them.awwwwwwwww, meeting her parents, that's so sweet!!! IP: Logged |

It will be an overwhelming experience for your girl having to interpret everything. I have been there. It is a very humbling experience. Good luck! I'm sure you will learn a lot!IP: Logged |

I was in a same situation as your girlfriend once and although it was pretty tiring to be in a constant "interpreter mode" everything turned out well and everybody had a great time.Good Luck! IP: Logged |
