What's the difference between say, the Davidson style chart and a regular composite chart etc. I noticed I get different results. Can someone educate me or give me a link to a thread that covers this?
Thanks, any and all information appreciated.

Notice the date on the Davidson chart. It uses the date and time that is the midpoint between the charts.

(I had no idea of this myself until just recently when I tried one of those charts.)

Thanks AG but I still don't understand... I guess I need to rewind to an earlier lesson.
I almost forgot about this thread!!! I was just messing around on astro.com again and thought of it. Sorry so late on the reply!

It's cool.

To explain:

The regular composite chart takes your placement and your mate's placement, and find's the midpoint. Generically we could say that if you got together with a Sag, then your composite sun could very likely land in Scorpio since Scorpio is in between Libra and Sag. Regular composite charts do that with all the planets, and it also figures out the placements by house.

The Davidson composite takes your birthday and time (and location) and your mate's birthday and time (and location), and finds the exact date, time, and location that falls between them.

So if you were born January 1, 1980, and your lover was born January 3, 1980 then you'd get an event chart with a date of January 2, 1980 at the location between your points of birth.

I don't think it gives you a city to mark the location or anything; just the latitude and longitude.

Does that make more sense? I haven't really looked into Davidson chart interpretations at all, so I don't know how valid they are, but I've seen the topic brought up quite a few times in astrology (and I generally avoided those threads, because I didn't know what they were talking about).

Thanks AG! I was thinking it was something like that, but I couldn't wrap my brain around it all of the way so I gave up. You explained it GREAT!!!
