I had wonderful Christmas. I woke up this morning thinking "what did I ever do to deserve to be that happy...." Of course, it is not about gifts but I am in absolute awe of so many people showing that they care about my daughter and I ....in big ways and little ways. And I am SO glad that I was able to respond in kind.

I spent Christmas with my daughter and my boyfriend. On Christmas Eve we went to midnight Mass where my boyfriend's daughter was singing. She has a wonderful soprano. We visited some old friends on Christmas Day and then had quiet dinner and sat in front of fireplace.

Oh, and Eagles won in Dallas!

My holiday was ok. I did not see my mother but it was not bad, i didn't know how that would be. There was a peace that i have not felt for a while now. Tomorrow hubby and i are going on a three day trip. It was to snowmobile but there is no snow in michigan. We will go anyway to get away and take advantage of our week off. I felt good about the gifts i gave this year. I went a little extra on cost and i could see everyones excitement over their gift. And of course our dinner last night at mother in laws. This is several years now of steak and lobster tail and it was just perfect. Happy new year everyone. Its 2007 which is a 9 year. This one will be better than 2006 ( the 8 year).

I don't have a religion but my family celebrates it. I go for the food

Vegan food of course because I rather die a thousand deaths before I eat a murderered animal or an animal that is BOILED ALIVE.

I know Buddhists who celebrate also. Just for the hell of it.

I was real sick so that kind of messed it up. I always get sick during Christmas.

I wouldn't even breathe well. My cousin gave me some good medicine and within an hour I was able to breathe again.

I had one glass of wine before that.

Mine was good, even though I had to work on Christmas day!

However, the best thing I receive Christmas, wasn't a gift or the food. It was something more dear to me.
Remember I posted a thread in Astrology, about my Aquarius friend who I haven't heard from in awhile? Well, I sent him a text message on Christmas day, wishing him a good Christmas. I didn't expect him to reply back. Later on a text came through my phone and IT WAS HIM! I couldn't believe it. He wished me a happy Christmas. But what really made my day was, what he ending the message by. He said " My friend."
I was even more happy for the rest of Christmas, then I started off.
Now I know that he is still around!

My christmas was good...
The best part was being able to spend time with my sister-in-law whom I adore and my nieces who are the cats MEOW !!

But of course, just like clock work my mom and I had an argument before dinner and it humiliated me plus hurt my feelings(she is good at this) so I left right before Christmas dinner.

That was the low point.

I pray that next year it will be just me and my soulmate celebrating for Christmas.

I am ready for NEW Christmas/Holiday traditions.

Bear and I returned from Vacation on Friday and we needed at least 3 days to recover from family / drama overload LOL...

Can you say "bipolar ex wife with a need to control all things in the universe?" Needless to say, everything worked out- even with all the crying drama, poisoning on the kids minds by bipolar mama and her staging such a stunt that Bear was not able to see his kids on the actual day of Christmas.

Bear and I discovered that our mother's are long lost twins (both are about the same height, weight, hair style, mannerisms, they even dress alike and wear the same style of glasses). His mom is a Libra and mine is a Cancer.

We joked that if they ever met the world would be thrown off it's axis as they would either be two peas in a pod or go crazy on each other. Oh yeah, and both are totally into their religion- his mom is a Stormin Mormin and my mom is a Full on Lutheran LOL....

Our dads are also similar- both former Army (his is retired) and both are in law enforcement (although my father is retired). Both have the same temperment LOL.... His dad is a Scorp and mine is a Cappy.. my dad's words of wisdom when we shared the news of our twin mom's... "Well... think of it this way.. you are their offspring LOL".

Hmmm.... wonder how that will play out? LMAO....

We had a blast with both families and I dearly loved having Bear meet my two nephews. They adored him, especially the little Aqua who immediately sat in Bear's lap when Bear sat on the couch. I was followed by my little twin, the Scorp, that kept asking me about my cats and if they were having a party while we were gone LOL... I promised him I would write him a book about their adventures since he informed me that he needs to know EVERYTHING that they do. My scorp Sis-in-law told me he wants to get his own house and live with my cats so that they can have pancake parties LOL....

SO, Bear and I made it through our first extended two week vacation surrounded by family (with the exception of New Years Eve and Day since we spent that alone... hee hee). Even with all the drama we managed to make it into something funny AND we only minced words one time (which is to be expected) which did not last more than a half an hour LOL).

This week we will be heading off to Phoenix for another conference and time alone (seriously, it was great to be alone... he has one BIG family.... BIG BIG BIG Mormon family.. lots of kids.. LOL....)
