I've been having pains for a few days now, but they are still inconsistent and nothing more than REALLY annoying. I keep reminding myself that the pains are serving a purpose even if it isn't active labour, however that doesn't make me feel better and if anything just sends me off into a hormonal temper tantrum. I've suddenly grown a serious aversion to ANYONE touching me, even if it's just to pat me on the shoulder or something.
*sigh* If I'm going to go into labour, I wish it would just happen already. Either that or the pains will just have to stop before I go nuts. I'm ready for my papoose to be here, his crib is up and still empty. His dresser is full of his clothes, waiting to be worn and his bag is packed for the hospital. He's ready. I keep holding off on packing my own bag though kind of as a reminder that he's still not coming just yet. I know that once I pack my bag I'll want to get into the car that minute and go!! However, it don't work like that. Does anyone have any advice on how to relieve some of this pent up frustration and energy?? I've done cleaned the house several times, sewed blankets, washed clothes, sanitized bottles and binkies (which probably won't be used since I'm planning to breastfeed anyway), set up his changing table, tied toys to his bed, even made another appointment with his pediatrician just so I can ask more questions. I've run out of things to do that I can think of so if anyone else can think of something I am all ears. Or in this case..eyes. Sorry for whining but at the moment there's no one in the house but me and I needed to get it out...

Hey, I'm hearing you, and I happen to be online.

Orgasm.
Nipple stimulation.. preferably with a male counterpart with semen, the prostaglandins and such are known to start labour.
It'll make you feel better too.

That's my sexual healing prescription.

Usually when you get antsy, it;s a sign... also loose stools are an indication ( usually the night before labour),and sleep sleep sleep followed by an inability to settle down.. a big burst of energy.

Yea, but since my male counterpart is currently 12 hours away, it'll have to wait I think.
My mom told me to drink lots of raspberry tea and all that's doing is making me run to the bathroom every 20 minutes or so. My kidneys are thanking me for that.
As for the sleep thing, once I get there it's very difficult to wake me up, I've been sleeping in 13 hour shifts only to wake up and work, then quickly run outta fuel and want to go back to sleep 2 hours later.
My mind is ready for labour but only the dr. can tell me if my body is I suppose. LOL
BTW super thanks for your advice 'cause just knowing that it's ok for me to still do that makes me feel 10 times better lol.

A bit of a ride on a motorcycle always worked for me-especially with a few non-life threatening bumps like over RR tracks-Easy does it of course-
"A watched kettle never boils" loosen up a bit, get your mind on something else...maybe the tension of wanting him out NOW! needs to go-
I was soo anxious for my son shine to birth but when labor actually started I decided I wasn't in labor despite the fact I couldn't really sit, stand, or lay down! All I could do was a Groucho Marx type walk-When a friend stopped by, she talked me into her car and my son was born 34 minutes later...
Good luck and blessings my dear! I love you!

THank you alllll so much for the advice and support. At a moment like this that's exactly what I need. Went to the dr. today half-hoping he'd tell me it was time (while knowing already that it wasn't) and was still let down when he just said what I already knew. We're still pregnant and still waiting. However, I have a feeling that ya'll are right when ya'll say it'll be soon. Here's to hoping I can keep my hopes at a reasonable level
