Hee hee.... well, we do come up for air when we have to LOL... We loved our time in Washington and Idaho but we were also VERY happy to come back home and just spend time together. Bear is in school right now and I turned in my resignation yesterday. He is attended the advanced non-commissioned officer course and is happy to have many of his fellow Soldiers in his class. I LOVE having him home.. I can't stress that enough. It is wonderful to be able to come home from work, cook together and talk IN PERSON!!! LOL... and then we hide under the covers.. coming up for air in the am... a bit tired, but still it's worth it LOL... We move on March 6th- which means this is the crunch time. I am happy to say that I may have a position lined up when I get to Germany. I am on a professional development leadership team for my county as part of my duties as an ed services director. At last weekends academy meeting the presenter was told by my coach that I was leaving for Germany. As it turns out the presenter is an international speaker in education and has connections in Germany. She told me that she was impressed with my work and I was highly recommended by my coach. She also gave me the name of the contact in charge of hiring/ professional development- so basically I can transition into the Dept of Defense ed program and do there what I do here (well, I don't know if I'll have to do as much there-since most grant writers don't take on the other jobs that I have done.. LOL... typical Saggie).
I'm excited because I was worried about finding a position out there and I would like to stay in education because I feel that I can make a difference. There aren't many Professional Development people overseas and it's a hot career right now- so we'll see. Tomorrow I go in for my total physical in order to be cleared to travel for Germany and get put on the orders. I've moved many times before but never overseas. Bear has been stationed in Italy (3 years) and Korea (2 years) so he's been a blessing at getting things organized. I am not used to having such an organized and capable man - normally I get everything done at the expense of getting insanely stressed out. Yay for having Bear!!!!
Life is GREAT these days....
How are you doing? How was your holiday season? Lots of love!!! ~Pidaua (and Bear)

Army brat..hmmm... how did you like it? Did you get a chance to live overseas? Bear is an Army brat too but his father was stationed in Washington for most of his career. How often do you get to see you mom? I see my Cancer Sun / Cancer moon mom once or twice a year and that is pretty hard. I'm closer to my Capricorn Sun / Cancer moon dad (in distance and relationship) so being so far from him will be hard on me I am sure. For a Sag I am pretty darn close to my family (4th house Sun) and we talk at least a few times a week if not more. I'm sorry you don't see your mother as often as you would like. Have to thought about moving to Alabama or does your career keep you in VA? Hugs... IP: Logged |

We traveled alot when I was a child. We lived in France, and Panama CZ. The rest of the time we were state side. I went 7 elementary schools. It was hard, but it was good.My father passed about 9 years ago. He was Taurus Aqua, we were very close. Wow, that is hard to believe. I am not so sure I want to move to ALabama although it is lovely on the Gulf Coast. ANd of course being close to Mama. She is Aqua Cancer. I am on medical leave right now. I take care of a couple of kids that is it. so no career to hold me back. IP: Logged |

Blue, You sound like you had a rich life growing up. I am sorry for your loss concerning your father. I would be (when the time comes "will" be) lost without my father. He and I are very close. Alambama seems like a mixed bag to me, but I am sure others love it to death. I hope we either go to Italy or come back here after Germany. We may end up at Fort Bragg, NC depending on if Bear goes back to airborne. How many children do you take care of? We only have 2 fat cats, one weiner dog (Chip belongs to Bear but is living with his mom and dad) plus Bear has 6 kids (living in WA with their crazy mom - that is a whole story in itself. I could just kick her for what she did to Bear over Christmas). At some point we hope to have the kids with us, which is why I'd like to see us stateside soon. You have an interesting background
