'The Name of the Rose' by Umberto Eco - the latin can be a bit intense but as a whole a gripping, intelligent and mind-bending book!ANYTHING BY TERRY PRATCHET - the man is comic genius...with a keen insight in to the human condition.... Oh, and finally, 'Fugitive Pieces' by Anne Michaels. On second thoughts, start with this one. Is a very special book! Happy reading lol x IP: Logged |

Troy Trilogy by David Gemmell. Its a combination of ficticious events merged with actual Ancient Greek life senerios and Mythology. So far I have read the first book in the series (Troy: Lord of the Silver Bow) and I liked it a lot. Really recommend it. IP: Logged |

I love Terry Pratchett...he did write "good omens" with Neil Gaiman, correct? (sorry, got a fever- the mind is bending fuzzy) i adore David Eddings... fantasy, very easy read... i reread his 2 series every 9 months. i find i read more non fiction than fiction. I can't stand the bombardment of chick lit or mystery/crime novels that swamp current fiction. MK IP: Logged |
