Hey bluemoon, sorry I forgot these last month :-( Getting a jump on these for next month so we can mark our calendars appropriately…..

Return carts to the supermarket month?? Yeesh, more likely leave them at the outside rack since it’s too cold and blustery to take them all the way back to the store!!
Hurray – a day just for my Chinese astro sign! (Feb 1st) – what to do, what to do…..
I’d better start planning now for Feb 16th….. and where would be a good spot for Feb 28th….. :-D

February 26 is . . . . National Pistachio Day
February 27 is . . . . International Polar Bear Day
February 28 is . . . . Public Sleeping Day
February 29 is . . . . National Surf and Turf Day

(Hoodie Hoo Day: This holiday is celebrated in an interesting way. At high noon everyone yells "Hoodie-Hoo!" to chase away winter and make way for spring.)

Note: Alaskans truly have a peculiar sense of humor (the Cordova Ice Worm Festival)….. eh, what am I saying – this weekend is the Winter Carnival here Then again, weirdness could be a natural reaction to having odd fauna like this in the environs:

"The first ice worm species were discovered in 1887 in Alaska, on the Muir Glacier. These glacier ice worms can be found on glaciers in Alaska, Washington, Oregon and British Columbia. They have not been found in other glaciated regins of the world. The name "solifugus" is Latin for "sun-avoiding", as ice worms retreat underneath the ice before dawn. Enzymes in ice worms have very low optimal temperatures, and can be denatured at even a few degrees above 0°C. When ice worms are exposed to temperatures as high as 5°C, their membranes melt and the worm itself liquifies. Ice worms are several centimeters long, and can be black, blue, or white in color. The ice worms come to the surface of the glaciers in the evening and morning. On Suiattle glacier in the North Cascades population counts indicated over 2 billion ice worms on that glacier alone.
It is not known how ice worms tunnel through the ice. Some scientists believe they travel through microscopic fissures in ice sheets, while others believe they secrete some chemical which can melt ice by lowering its freezing point, like an antifreeze. They feed on snow algae."

With global warming, I feel for the poor little ice worms – I can just hear their teeny voices crying “I’m melting! I’m melting!”

No more slackin', Z!!

Have you seen what some stores are doing with their carts? Some sort of detector on the front wheels locks them up when you reach the perimeter of the store parking lot. If you're not aware of this, you'll walk into the cart and bruise a shin. I learned this from experience.

I'll let all the homeless people in my labor hall know the 28th is their day. It'll give them a good excuse to give the cops.

I thought March was the official month for kite flying??

February 13 is . . . . Get A Different Name Day and Dream Your Sweet Day

I am not really sure what to do. How do I get a different name? Do I need to get married or just go to the court house??

I do I just dream about a sweet day or are we talking about dreaming about myself being sweet..................

I think I will just return my cart to the grocery store.

OMG, 'zala!! And I was just getting ready to tell you not to cry over spilt milk!! WherEVER did you find that Cheetos-in-a-tub image? It's SO cool, though I'm not sure I'd be as crazy about them if I had a tubful of them!

LOL, BM! I was very confused as to what to do today as well.. I wondered if I should dream myself dressed in a Tootsie Roll costume or something like that. It's going to be a night of confusing, weird dreams.

But, no worries, tomorrow's:
