This for everyone who's having freaky weather lately.

This is my backyard in El Paso, TX - desert country. That's not snow, BTW, that's hail, or "snow hail," or something like that. Not sure what a meteorologist would call it. It's pea-sized hail with snow collected around each hail stone so it looks like little fluffy, white puff balls. It had been falling for only about 10 minutes when I took the pic. The hail's falling so swiftly, it made the pic a little blurry as you can tell.

There was a huge thunder crash, and then the hail started falling fast. Right now the hail's stopped (about 30 minutes later), but there's still a bunch on the ground that hasn't melted yet. All the hail/snow that fell on my roof is melting, so water's just pouring off the eaves. Weird stuff.

We're going through the same weird patterns of weather over here in Arizona, one day it's real hot and you have to peel your sweaty bunns from the vinyl car seat and then the next day you need a jacket or you'll freeze your tush off! Didn't someone else say awhile back they saw an Arctic Hootie, in an area that's not it's habitat?
