A friend of mine has posted a request via his MySpace, which I've reposted below. Even if you cannot donate to the cause, my friend is asking for PRAYERS to free his friend Eric, an innocent man, from imprisonment in Nicaragua. If we could all pray, send positive energy, white magick for the highest good of all if that's what your personal approach is, whatever works for you, then this is for a good cause. The more positive energy we can generate for this man's freedom, the better!

when something like this happens
and someone is treated with such
injustice, and disrespect, and lied

Geez, GL75 - What a brutal story! The poor man! Why do you suppose that judge is so determined to nail Eric to the wall on this, inspite of the overwhelming evidence to the contrary? Do you think it may be because he's American? I do. I believe this is a very clear demonstation of the anti-American form of what amounts to hateful racism. (although, it's not really racism, because Americans are of all races - but, it sure has all the classic symptoms of racism)Just curious, what is the money to be used for? To bribe the judge? I'm sure a million dollars, offered on the sly would free him. ps: I will definately pour some love/light energy into the ethers on his behalf! IP: Logged |

The money that is donated is to pay for his legal defence... however, prayers/energy/anything of the like are equally appreciated.Thank you, you two. I think all of us here at LL can work together to generate a lot of good energy for this man... IP: Logged |

Thanks for bringing this to our attention, GL.  It's a very tragic story. I will pray for Eric and his family and also send in a donation to help with his legal defense. I was wondering if anyone has contacted Amnesty International or other organizations who work to free those wrongly jailed in all countries of the world. Also the more media attention it gets in this country the more pressure that will put on the Nicaraguan government to do the just and fair thing. This sounds like a story that 60 Minutes would air. I agree that everything that has happened does sound like anti-american sentiment has had a lot to do with the unjust trial and sentence of Eric. Otherwise why would the judge not allow any of the forensic evidence that would clear Eric to be presented? Thanks so much for posting the web-site.
