Name at least 3 people, fictional or real with whom you feel your own personal identity is similar to.
It does not have to be 100%.
It can be who you feel you are most like;
or only in specific ways.
Or who you would like to be more like.
Like whose life do you feel you could be comfortable with and step into it naturally.
This can be like I said;
Real or fictional.
Living,
or not in body.
From History, Movies, Books, Biographies,
Autobiographies etcetera.
Additionally think of folks or characters opposite of the sex you currently are.

HATSHEPSUT:
When I was six
my father Thutmose the First
lifted me up to sit beside him
on his throne of Amen.
He said, Flower of Egypt,
you will be a ruler.
He took me with him on his royal barge
down the Nile to Memphis, to Sakkara,
to Giza, to see my kingdom.
He said to the farmers and nobles
crowding the water steps
This is my goddess daughter Hatshepsut
who will be crowned with the crown
of Upper and Lower Egypt
when she becomes a woman.
I knew that Amen-Re, Lord of Thebes,
King of Karnak, took my father's form
and came down to my mother, Ahmose,
as she slept in the beauty of her palace.
She woke at the fragrance of the god
and rejoiced at the sight of his beauty,
and he went into her and his love
came into her body. And my mother said
How wonderful to see you face to face,
your dew is in all my limbs.
And Amen, Lord of the Two Lands, said to her,
Khnumit-Amon-Hatshepsut is the name of the daughter
I have planted in your body. She shall be king
in this whole land. My soul is hers,
my crown is hers.

I am Adora. He-Man's twin sister and defender of the Crystal Castle. This is Spirit my beloved steed. Fabulous secrets were revealed to me the day I held aloft my sword and said 'For the honor of Greyskull! I am She-Ra.' Only a few others share this secret. Among them are Light Hope, Madame Razz, and Kowl. Together me and my friends of the Great Rebellion try to defend Etheria from the evil forces of Hordak.

In every generation there is a Chosen One. She alone will stand against the vampires, the demons and the forces of darkness. She is the Slayer.

Kill Bill - The Bride

The Bride: What are you doing here?
Bill: What am I doing? A moment ago, I was playin' my flute. But this moment, I'm looking at the most beautiful bride these old eyes have ever seen.

Bill: Pai Mei taught you the five point palm-exploding heart technique?
The Bride: Of course he did.
Bill: Why didn't you tell me?
The Bride: I don't know... because I'm a bad person.
Bill: No. You're not a bad person. You're a terrific person. You're my favorite person, but every once in a while, you can be a real **** .

Thank you Fayte, this was a fun question for me to contemplate. My choices are.

- Marcus Aurelius, because I want to be like him.

- Dr. M****, my most honored mentor who taught me to "rock" in my profession (or anything in life) takes more than just perfect execution of a task at hand. It's a state of mind, a way of life.

- The character "Sonny Crockett" from the 80s TV show Miami Vice. Go ahead and laugh, and no I don't push the sleeves up on my blazers.

- The kid who I buy my morning tea from. He has Down Syndrome. He is ALWAYS happy, and he is fearless. Two of the greatest things to be. I admire him.

Mother Teresa
Her Words:
"There is only one God and He is God to all; therefore it is important that everyone is seen as equal before God. I’ve always said we should help a Hindu become a better Hindu, a Muslim become a better Muslim, a Catholic become a better Catholic. We believe our work should be our example to people. We have among us 475 souls - 30 families are Catholics and the rest are all Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs—all different religions. But they all come to our prayers."

That's interesting. I'm surprised she felt that way. Osho said that Mother Teresa stood in the way of orphans being adopted by non-Catholic families, for no other reason than the fact that they were not Catholic. Maybe he was lying. I don't have much faith in Osho lately.

Well, I wanted to post about 5, but it's taking too long to think about them. I have been many things in just this life alone... First, I identify with certain actors/characters more than others. I enjoy Robin Williams, Steven Seagal, and Jodi Foster to start... My specific favorite of Robin Williams is his character in Good Will Hunting.
Jodi Foster is amazing in Contact, of course, but I loved her in Flight Plan recently too.

Steven Seagal is my idol! Some kids wanna be Like Mike, but I wanna be Like Steve. He has to be an Aries, right? hehe

A Steven quote "I want to keep making movies like that which are more geared with a certain entertainment value but also bring people forward into contemplation."

It is said (by Wiki):
"Seagal's roles do not fit the standard action hero archetype; instead, Seagal's characters are usually "born perfect", displaying no limitations, character flaws, or character development (as is typically included in the story arc for most action heroes). His characters are often associated with attributes given to action movie antagonists or villains, such as clandestine government associations (Under Siege), great wealth and high-level corporate ties (On Deadly Ground), high-level biochemical research skill (The Patriot), etcetera. Seagal's characters are normally nigh-on invincible and are unable to be beaten or even slowed down."

Nothing like a little perfection to strive for to excite a double Capricorn vibe like my own.

"When I walk into a room some people see a dog, some people see a cow. I am all of what they see. It is their perception."

Oh, he has a Libra Moon... hmmmmm This web-site www.celebritywonder.com/html/stevenseagal_hor1
said the following:

Born April 10, 1952 in Lansing, Michigan

Elements and Qualities:

Four or more planets in Fire signs
THE FLAMES OF YOUR PASSION

You tend to be active, dynamic, mobile and assertive. You know that you're special and enjoy a charmed life. Intuition is your thing and you live by your own code, which is usually positive and life affirming. Competitive and flamboyant, you give people a strong and immediate impression of who you are. Timid and slow folk may find you overwhelming, rash and willful. You are more or less self-motivated.

TIP: When dealing with regular people and mere mortals, be patient and polite.

hehe Does that apply to those with Mars in Aquarius in the first house too? Just kidding, I don't think that matches "four or more planets in Fire signs".

I posted this on UC, but i thought I'd put it out here too

I could be:

  1. Amelie from the movie Amelie (only, i'm not as shy as her. at least not in the same way as her. but a lot of things about her, like how she enjoys the simple pleasures of life, her way of looking at people, is very *me*.)
  2. The guy played by Jim Carrey in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind- in almost every way. Except that he is not a complete description of me (or i wudn't be needing 3 characters on this list, wud i? )
  3. Astrid from the novel White Oleander. will get back to this later.

I would love to be the character played by Matthew McConaughey in the movie Contact. (hey, another Jodie fan here Mel !!! )
I would also love to be Calvin from 'Calvin and Hobbes'

ILWL

Mel, you have Mars in Aquarius ??? Me too !!!

PRETTY WOMAN

Pretty woman, walking down the street
Pretty woman, the kind I like to meet
Pretty woman
I don't believe you, you're not the truth
No one could look as good as you
Mercy

Pretty woman, won't you pardon me
Pretty woman, I couldn't help see
Pretty woman
That you look lovely as can be
Are you lonely just like me
Wow

Pretty woman, stop a while
Pretty woman, talk a while
Pretty woman, gave your smile to me
Pretty woman, yeah yeah yeah
Pretty woman, look my way
Pretty woman, say you'll stay with me
'Cause I need you, I'll trear you right
Come with me baby, be mine tonight

Pretty woman, don't walk on by
Pretty woman, make me cry
Pretty woman, don't walk away, hey...okay
If that's the way it must be, okay
I guess I'll go on home, it's late
There'll be tomorrow nigh, but wait
What do I see
Is she walking back to me
Yeah, she's walking back to me
Oh, oh, Pretty woman

The Flower of Carnage

Begrieving snow falls in the dead morning
Stray dog's howls and the footsteops of Geta pierce the air
I walk with the weight of the Milky Way on my shoulders
But an umbrella that holds onto the darkness is all there is.
I'm a woman who walks at the brink of life and death
Who's emptied my tears many moons ago.
All the compassion tears and dreams
The snowy nights and tomorrow hold no meaning
I've immersed my body in the river of venegance
And thrown away my womanhood many moons ago
On the behalf of heaven, they're our soldiers, the loyal, invincible and brave.
Now it's time for them to leave the country of their
Parents their hearts buoyed by encouraging voices.
They are solemnly resolved not to return alive, without victory.
Here at home, the citizens wait for you.
In foreign lands, the brave troops
Instead of kindness from someone
I do not care about
I rather prefer selifshness from you my beloved.
Oh, is the world a dream or an illusion?
I am all alone in jail.

People who inspire me, and who I feel very connected to for different reasons:

-Jack Vettriano - self-taught painter

"Vettriano's images are a gateway to an alluring yet sinister world; a timeless place where past and present intertwine. It is a world heavy on atmosphere evoking the great noir movies and novels of our time."
-Anthony Quinn

-Adrian Lyne - Film Director

-Ava Gardner - Actress

Quotes:

"When I lose my temper, honey, you can't find it any place."

"I don't understand people who like to work and talk about it like it was some sort of ******* duty. Doing nothing feels like floating on warm water to me. Delightful, perfect."

"And wouldn't it just be my luck to be born a Capricorn. I've often thought of it as the worst sign, but no matter. It wasn't my style to let a little thing like the stars get in my way."
-Ava Gardner

Gosh, I wish I were like her....she definitely appeals to my kick-ass mars in aries side.

I just watched this movie with my bf this afternoon and I think I can relate to this character...he's like the outer cancerian shell/Cap Asc that I present to the World. (in a less violent way of course).

*edit* My softer cancerian side......
