Ok, here's the RULES

1) You are basically playing YOURSELF

2) Choose 3 Abilities loosely based around your online persona and astrological data that can be revealed to others

3) You will also have 3 Secret Abilities that you should be thinking about. You can spring these at any time, even making them up to nullify another's intentions but once you Reveal them, they become permanent.

4) Every serious player is a Game Master and We Create the World Together. This requires diplomatic co-creativity that holds the quality of the story and the lessons shared ultimately above the welfare of any single character. Challenge!

5) All are Welcome to join, but those who choose to simply be small disruptive characters will be dealt with accordingly. Your sacrifice to the enhanced plot of the story is appreciated and please reincarnate and try again as another character immediately!

6) This thread is for game play only. Please do come and watch, but if you wish to comment you have to join in!!! Even as a disposable character just for fun.

7) I know I'm NOT THE BOSS OF YOU and this is a public forum and blah blah blah yadda yadda, but let's try to make this work for fun!!! Everyone get creative! I would love all serious players to add rules and I will give the final ok on them just to keep the rules from going crazy and changing every minute.

8)If you haven't figured it out yet, this will mostly be a story written together, so don't join in unless you HAVE READ THE ENTIRE STORY unless you are just choosing to create a single random event. For example, you can't join in as a character that is the brother of another character and play as if you have always been there when you have no idea what happened previously.

9) The only thing you have to reveal immediately is your basic appearance and your surroundings. Let's follow a simple/basic/familiar plot line that can become more with time. For example, we introduce ourselves and the city/peasant-town/world we are beginning in and create our own story and then we begin to find ways to interweave our very different or similar realities. You can be from a farm out the dark ages or from another planet, anything goes.

10) Suggest anything you want, I am just pulling this out of the air. Let's create something interesting and full of insight and wisdom.

I am Melody and I come from a land that appears simple and wholesome. Many of the young people from my land appear dark and sinister, but the cause is unclear. Many of them are sent away. There is a group of us that meet to discuss our world and methods of growing in power that might protect each other and the further disintegration of our world.

I am AG.

I hail from the Southwest where music is always playing, and people are always dining on fine wine and cuisine. This is the land of mother-lovers and cool gadgets. Plants and animals abound. People are very protective and familial. You may have heard of mafia families living where I hail from. You can't find a better place to have a family. (South Node in Cancer in the 2nd)

A young man, dressed all in black, approached me today and touched the power symbol on my chest. He questioned me and I replied elusively, touching my hair and shielding my eyes and facial expressions. This had become second nature.
He began to point out his symbols of power and as he shared each glyph, he revealed another aspect of himself to me. As I reached out and touched each symbol, I could feel the energy contained within the symbol.
I don't like that one, I said, gesturing toward a symbol on his hand.
What one? he said feigning ignorance at my observation.
This one, I said, touching the dark symbol with my fingertip, sending a wash of love into the symbol and it's domain. He shrugged his jacket down and pulled back the sleeve of his shirt. His arm was engraved with a crude black outline of a heart. There were initials inside and numbers in centered rows beneath. The image of a tombstone moved across my mind. I touched the symbol with compassion.
Did someone you love die?
Yes, he said,
my mother.
He looked into my eyes and I held him in my mind.
Last summer, he said.

She was born in the outer realm. At least that is what they told her. She never really knew her family. She was found by a slave woman in the forest. She loved the woman for saving her, but it was not an easy life for her, She was named Bluemoon by her adopted mother who found her during the rising of the blue moon. As a child she loved dancing in the moonlight.

As she grew into womanhood, she seemed to find joy in the dery dark place she lived in. She always seemed Strange, not like the rest. She was a quite woman, most of the time. It was important to be quite, lest they hear you talking to yourself. Besides, she didn’t really need to talk, everyone she really need to communicate with could touch her mind. They called her crazy, ***** , devil, witch, they just could not understand her, she could barely understand herself.

She grew weary of her life or drudgery and servitude. She longed to find the others, to find her way in the world. She needed a plan.......

As she grew into womanhood, the men begain to look at her in a different way. It disgusted her when they put their fithy hands on her. Making her skin crawl. Her only escape was a small cave she had discoverd as a young girl. Just a crack in the rocky hills, until you squeezed into the open chamber. A sacrid, secrete place, filled with all the things she held dear. It was there that she could, finally dyscyphere the madness in her head. The voices which made her feel crazy, but some how sane at the same time.

She felt so lonely............ She longed to find a connection, some meaning for her exsistance.

"The mother" needed her. "Mother" was the keeper of the children. There always seemed to a brood of them hanging off her skirt. Now that she was older she help out with the brood, but she long for so much more. This place never really felt like home to her.

Darkness....ahhhh did anyone mentioned darkness? hmmmmm thought the vampire to himself - it is party time!

He lived high up on the mountain, in the dark creepy castle. But unlike what many believed - he was a friendly vampire, with blood lust only to keep him alive....errr..... undead.

Seeing a guy carrying an acoustic guitar coming from far away, the undead was feeling happy, but little was he prepared for what was in store.

Meanwhile, far away deep in the forest, the dragons were preparing to launch an attack on the serene city, at the strike of midnight hour. They had entered into an unholy alliance with the purple chameleons to stage this dastardly act.

She peeked her head around the tree to see who was around in this strange but wonderful land, and there they were, the lovely, irrepressible Melody, the radiant, kind-hearted Bluemoon, and lurking about was a dark creature, and to add to the ambience, was the sound of a guitar being played by some invisible hand. She stayed in the shadows, trying to read their faces; she sensed some fear on bluemoon's part, and melody seemed introspective. As for the vampire, despite his thirst for blood, she could tell that he seemed to have a good heart too, like the others. She was intrigued, and wanted to get to know them all better, but thought it might be safe to stay in the shadows a while longer before coming out to play...

So she sat under a shady tree, hugging her knees, reflecting on her life. "What a charmed life I'd led up until recently", she thought, and reminisced about her happy childhood with much fondness. She'd been born in a land that had much history, where mystical secrets were hidden in mundane surroundings. They had not lived there long though; her family had moved every few years. They had been a source of joy for her for many years, a safe haven, and with them, she'd led a sheltered life, not knowing pain or suffering until recent times. The shadows cast by some creature flying overhead brought her back to earth with a start, and all the pain of the past couple years came flooding back to her in that instant. With it also came the realization that she'd never really truly known the extent of her powers until she'd had a need to use them...

She blinked away a tear from her eye, and rose, determined not to let the past haunt her in this new land that held much promise. I won't let the past hold me back any longer, but shall forge ahead into this brave new world, she decided, and prepared to walk out of the shadows, into the open...

Years earlier...

“Have you ever seen a ghost?”

He asked with a lilt to his voice that let me know he wanted me to think he was joking.

“No,” I paused, “you have,” I said, with only enough questioning in my voice to continue the charade.

“Well,” he said, still with a perceptible laugh to his voice, “have you ever been out to the Bridge?”

I had learned long ago to distinguish the young boy tone of fun and games and fantasy from the serious, almost boiling with fear and hesitancy at being “discovered” or “heard” tone I was hearing now.

“What happened?”

There were so many stories, some at the Bridge, and some at the Cemetery, some home alone in the dark. There were just SO many stories.

“I did an incantation. It was out of a book. I had been reading up on it for a while. I thought it would work, but I didn’t Know what would really happen.”

“Did you see something?” I asked calmly. I could sense his extreme fear now.

“I can’t say!”
“I was told not to say…” he was visibly distressed now, almost wringing his hands and he sprang up from the couch. “I’ve got to go,” he said.

In the shadows of her mind she heard a voice. It was a little strange, but the voice was her friend, it reminded her of Sunshine. It was very comforting after her incounter with the dark one.

As much as she wanted to say and feel the sunshine, she was pulled back into the dreay reality.

One day, she just knew that something was wrong. No matter how hard she tried to listen, the voices were gone.

Without slowing, the ship cut the sand, and slid to a gradual stop half-way up the beach. A man's figure sprang over the side of the deck and planted his boots in the sand before a crowd of slack-jawed natives. He was a sight to behold. He appeared to be a very old man, and yet he moved like an agile man of twenty. Various medals and decorations flashed and jangled as he moved. There was a six-shooter slung on his hip, a sawed-off shotgun on his back, and a lit cigar stub peeking out between his beard and moustache. His eyes held a mischevous and knowing glint.

The natives crowded and fawned. Suddenly, a blast rang out, and the body of a young boy flew back, skidded across the sand, and came to a stop, arms and legs oddly akimbo; dead. The crowd dispersed at once, and the stranger made his way up the beach unaccosted.

A stone around his neck glowed bright green;
there was a vampire nearby.

The man had no name, or, if he had one, he himself could not remember the time when anyone had used it. His past was shrouded in obscurity, even to him. How long had he been at sea? How many islands and lands had he seen? How many undead creatures had he sent back to Hell? He himself had lost count.

He knew only that his constitution was supernatural.
By all accounts, he was immortal and impervious to blows.
Furthermore, his accuracy with a firearm was not only unmatched,
it was impeccable; he never missed.
Lastly, he could read and manipulate the hearts and minds of all sentient beings.

((How many powers is that?))

She could hear the others, and wanted to reach out to them, but the wounds of the past felt like they'd been opened anew over the past few days with all that had transpired, and she remained where she was as if nailed to the spot, unable to move, trying to get past the intense pain, trying not to let it consume her... She longed for some ray of hope, for something to hold on to, so as to not get swept away by the waves of gut-wrenching sadness that threatened to drown her in its misery.
