Today I learned the death of an ex lecturer of mine at college. He died yesterday, at the age of 52, from cancer. He was a final year lecturer of mine back in 2004. He was only lecturing for a short time.
Such sad news to hear that cancer claimed his life.

I'm sorry, Yang. One of my library instructors passed away last year from cancer also. I received an email from a fellow student- I was shocked.

LalaLinda- No, it's not the one who overcame his alcoholism!

I didn't really know the lecturer, who has died, very well, as he was only lecturing for a short while. But still it's horrible to know he has died.
I actually find out about his death in the newspaper as he was a well-known motoring journalist in the area I live. I can imagine his funeral will be a huge turnout.
Funnily enough, the "reporter" who wrote the article about the death, is ALSO an ex lecturer of mine.
