It is a song I would like everyone to listen.
And please write your opinions about it as well.
I am really interested in your thoughts on the song.
If anyone’s curious about the singer, I can give information.
Words of the song is very thought-provoking, talks about 'Vanity'.
(before listening, turn the volume up to the highest level )

I guess no one wants to listen the song, or make any comments. Okay.

Moon666child,
I‘ve never heard of KFDFM before. Are they also good? Any songs you can recommend for me to listen? This woman rocks!

Well, I am not really a KMFDM fan, I am more addicted to rock songs. But one of my friend recommened me KMFDM, and I found they were good.

They are more of Industrial Metal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsTTr0PV3lk

Not my kind of music, Slayer. Sorry. Didn't do anything for me. But then I'm an old fart so what do I know?

Going back to the American Bandstand days, I give it a 4 on just the beat itself. LOL I think like a lot of young female vocalists today, she oversells herself too in her video here.

Moon666Child,
Ooh, Mortal Combat! Love it, thank you.

Mirandee,
Lol, I actually love her style. She certainly has a style. The way she dances with those beautiful dresses is just very impressive. Also her voice is intense, deep and very charismatic, similar to mine Thanks for your opinion.

MysticMelody,
I am really curious about your thoughts, please don’t make me wait for too long.

Lyrics translated

Brought ruin, treated so roughly
Harmed so much, forgive me.
Human is strange, so rough.
What a masterpiece! so primitive,
How perplexing it is.

Vanity lies in ambush like a beast,
Just like a Volcano in its sleeping,
Sacrifices hearts of many.
You are desirous for love only,
But it is ambitious for Victory solely,
And not even afraid of anything sadly.

I must burn, burn and burn,
Have to go more distance,
And break myself from Vanity.

Well, I can't stand "dance music", the repetition is boring and annoying to me and the repetitive beat is meant to activate the lower chakras (to entice drunken sexual arousal in meat markets, not to celebrate Earthy and Fiery beats like in drum circles). Not that the music I listen to doesn't have it's lower chakra beats as well, but the variety is more interesting and stimulating to my Air. I think Earth and Fire dig the lower beats more and Water likes the middle/emotional beats... but that's just a hypothesis.
But ANYWAY, those lyrics are EXCELLENT. If you look at Vanity as Vain as "in vain" instead of "you're so vain, you probably think this song is about you" -Carley Simon "vain". Then you really have something there.
It's about her struggle to escape from the Void/Nothing/Fear which opposes her (and everyone's) desire to align with Love.
I think that is a kick ass thing to trance/hypnotize into people's minds with repetitive beats. It's certainly deeper than most of the pop/dance b.s. we have in the States.
So... eh, not very eloquent, but I'm multi-tasking (saved my daughter from an ant attack and then gave her a bath mid-post) and you wanted QUICK!

Oh, and, I actually did like her voice and thought she was more refined and less overty slutty than the Britneys and Agui-lols of the world.

It only works well IF you're drunk... then again I don't think you're in any condition to get a kiss anyway so its kind of a waste of effort anyway (i.e. time lost in a futile attempt at finding you designated driver to get ya home.)

Anyway, as for the song:

Reminds me of the work by "blackeri" entitled "The Seven Deadly Sins: Vanity."

MysticMelody,
That was QUICK! , thanks for the response. Well, all of us become infected by Vanity every once in a while and this song can be dedicated to people who has accepted the existence of Vanity in their natures and at least want to do something to pass beyond its destructive outcomes. It is fascinating that such an emotion, feeling is expressed, especially, in a dance song, house music. It’s like the more I dance with this song, the more I internalize its spiritual message.

Xodian,
Beautiful picture which depicts Vanity.

Actually, we can discuss our stories about Vanity here. Everyone would tell what they’d gone through during infection.

I gave it a listen, but didn't like it. I do like electronic-pop-dance music, just not this particular song.

Does anyone else think it's funny that a song about the detriments of vanity has an accompanying video that looks pretty vainglorious? It's nothing against the singer because that style of video is de riguer for female pop stars. I just found it funny due to the irony.
