Lessons from the Geese

1. As each bird flaps its wings it creates an "uplift" for the bird following. In a "v" formation the whole flock adds 71% more flying range than if each bird flew alone.

Lesson: People who share a common direction and sense of community can get where they are going quicker and easier because they are traveling on the thrust of one another.

2. Whenever a goose falls out of formation, it suddenly feels the drag and resistance of trying to fly alone, and quickly gets back into formation to take advantage of the "lifting power" of the birds immediately in front.

Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose, we will join in formations with those who are headed where we want to go and they will give us "uplift".

3. When the lead goose gets tired, it rotates back into formation and another goose flies at the point position.

Lesson: If we have as much sense as a goose, we would take turns doing the hard tasks, and sharing leadership ... with people, as with geese, interdependent with each other.

4. The geese in formation honk from behind to encourage whose up front to keep up their speed.

Lesson: We need to make sure our honking from behind is encouraging ... not something less helpful.

5. When a goose gets sick or wounded or shot down, two geese drop out of formation and follow their fellow member down to help and provide protection. They stay with this member of the flock until he or she is either about to fly again or dies. Then they launch out on their own, with another formation or to catch up with their own flock.

Lesson: If we have as much sense as the geese, we'll stand by each other like that.

That's cool, Star. I happened across this article by accident on the net last night. I don't believe in coincidences. Maybe it was meant to be confirmation to you that you are on the right track in your insights and thoughts.

Some things I found about the Goose in animal totem. I love animal totems!!

The Goose reminds me of the length and trials of the journey, the value of a sense of direction, and beauty of flight which my spirit needs to feel on a regular basis.

Mother Goose tales taught us as kids to have good manners, never follow strangers, and not to loose our mittens. Goose carries the energy of family and parenthood. Helping us to find strengthen in raising our children no matter what kind of family dynamic you have. Goose also is the keeper of folk tales, myths, and legends. Goose quills were often used to scribe the tales of old, connecting us to the past and forgotten history. Goose also gives us new adventures, much like the brave knight who went out into the world for new insights. With the New Year and a new adventure beginning why not ask goose for help and ensure fun adventures in life? Float as a Goose in the stream of life. Go with the flow is this birds motto.

Inspirational Insights
Goose Replaces Bear As Solar System Totem

The Solar System Bear Totem Matrix has been ejected from the Sun. The Goose has replaced the Bear as the new Solar System Animal Totem. The Bear has captivated the public for a long time. Teddy Bears are favorite toys for children. The escapades of Pooh Bear are perennial favorites. Smokey the Bear told us how to prevent forest fires.

Grizzly Bears, Panda Bears, and Polar Bears all intrigue us. The story about Goldilocks and the Three Bears with Papa Bear, Mama Bear, and Baby Bear with their beds and bowls of porridge makes what is still essentially a wild creature seem almost human.

What is interesting about this pattern is that it makes an animal who can be a ferocious predator with sharp teeth and claws appear huggable, cuddly, tame, and approachable. Bear is a powerful animal totem to have and it was the animal totem for our solar system until recently.

Shortly after the Earth and Solar System were aligned with Merope in the Pleiades on May 5, 2000 the Sun discharged a large bubble of hot plasma which contained the solar matrix or spirit template of the Bear which had been the animal totem for the Solar System.

The fact that an image of this extremely significant and portentous Coronal Mass Ejection was captured from the space-based Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO) indicates that the time when the peoples of the Earth will begin the process of learning spiritual technologies is drawing nearer.

The Sun appears to have been doing a little Solar System spring cleaning in preparation for the arrival of the new Solar System Animal Totem.

On November 11, 2001, lightworkers worldwide paused at 11:11:11 to link with each other for a prayerful meditative moment in memory of the 9/11 tragedy. There was such a tremendous outpouring of supportive heart energy when all the individual and group links joined together in unified peaceful intent that an amazing thing happened. A mighty beam of rainbow radiance was formed that leapt forth from the planet and headed towards the heartcore of the Sun.

Like a stone creating ripples in a pond, the heart energy radiated out from there and formed a pair of angelic heartwings, that beat gently back and forth, then retracted back into the heartcore of the Sun, then burst forth again more than doubled in size. This went on for awhile until the heartwings grew large enough to wrap themselves around the Sun in a nurturing caress which then went outward encircling the entire Solar System in an embrace of compassionate renewal.

The goose has been chosen as the new Animal Totem of the Solar System. The honk of the goose is the call of the Quest to travell to mythic lands and to visit legendary places. The goose is the symbol of awakening the divine inner child within us. In the past that function was reflected in the Mother Goose Rhymes which had seeds of wisdom about life patterning coded into the storylines. Then there is the story about "The Goose That Laid The Golden Egg" which gives the goose the alchemical ability to transform an earthly egg into golden treasure. The goose, which flies in a V formation, combines the symbology of large angelic heartwings with the transformative ability of the butterfly, making it an excellent animal totem for both spiritual synthesis and knowledge integration.

I hate geese, I shall learn nothing from them, they are evil!

I was bringing the trashcans in from the road a few months ago, and one started chasing me and bit me on the thigh! O_o I had this huge bruise that stayed there for weeks. Stupid demon-goose.

LOL Evermore. Know the feeling I have been chased by geese myself. Never bitten as I can run fast when traumatized.

Geese can be mean but mostly it is due to having some babies in the area that they are protecting.
