This is so very touching, HSC. Hallie was ( and still is ) such an angel. I read some of her writings and not only was she wise for her age but had a wonderful sense of humor. What a horrible tragedy for her family to lose her that way. IP: Logged |

At Home I believe Hallie was a godsend. I believe she lived her life to the fullest, even though so tragically ended. I believe her 11-year life, and her passing, left something, something good, to the world. This is her legacy. She aspired to make the world a better place, she aspired to heal...I believe, though she did not get to grow into adulthood and realize her goals, her ideals, she had left something to us, in this world, that could make our world a better place, and could heal...and this is what is really happening. Hallie was extraordinary. She is truly an angel. Lake IP: Logged |

Well said, Lake Dance. It is not the quantity of days, but the quality of a life. Had there been more time, the world might have given so much to Hallie, but, in her short life, she found time enough to give so much to us. What is tragic is only that we cannot repay our debt to her. Or, that we may repay it only by honoring and imbibing the incredible spirit she left us.

You, too, HSC- perfectly put It has suddenly occurred to me that, what might also be truly tragic is that, there are so many of us, here on earth, who take benevolence, love, good will...for granted, and indulge in temptation to initiate hurt to one another, but simultaneously hurting ourselves and not even realizing the very thing that we are doing. There are wounded healers (I'm referring to orthodox medical doctors specifically), unhealed. Imagine how serious and how frightening this very fact is. Hallie truly wanted to heal. We've got too much hurt. The hurt needs to be healed. Lake
