Zala: I have much to say about the Pluto threads, so strap in this is going to be a long one. If I circle around stay with me. Often I make an initial point, a mid point, and somewhere in the meandering finally make an end point. A distracting way of communicating that annoys some people.  I own Jeff’s’ first Pluto book The Evolutionary Journey of the Soul- pt. 1. Bought 2 years or so ago. There are many passages to quote and discuss - of course there are. It was, and is an important piece of work. Not just astrologically, but psychologically. I have not read Pt. 2. In all of the work you posted - is any of Pt. 2 in there? (have not finished all the posts). During that period (right when my transogram started spiking like the foothills of the Himalayas) I bought used -off Amazon- a ton of outer planet books. Some I never finished. Admittedly, Liz Greene’s Neptune, and the Tarnas penned Cosmos & Psyche are brilliant but stylistically difficult for me to wade through. 'Lazybrainsyndrome’ One day I will persevere. So, on a beautiful Sat. I pull out my Pluto books - and start reading. Thanks for the 4th house tip. It was required reading whether applicable in a natal or not. I don’t remember reading the following part, and it is one I will quote. ‘All 12th house Pluto individuals will have a highly stimulated pineal gland.’ Whoa, what did he just say?? As Manly Hall points out in the Occult Anatomy of Man, this gland was called the Occult gland in other cultures and times. Located above the spinal column, in the middle of the brain, this gland secretes a naturally transcendent chemical substance called melatonin.’ Naturally occurring (biological) melatonin similar to LSD??? I’m sure you know this all has to do with opening of the Third Eye. To continue ‘The pineal gland is stimulated by light entering the retina of the eyes. Because this gland is highly stimulated, or active in these individuals they can experience, on a cyclic basis, altered states of consciousness. The process is a naturally spiritualizing one. Yet for those who have not consciously desired to pursue and develop their spirituality, this process can produce the negative psychological symptoms mentioned above.’ And he’s referring to pg 227. Now we all have challenges in our charts, the good thing is that (I feel) along with trying to peel our personal onion, many LL’s -and others- turn to astrology as a tool. A spiritual tool with checks and balances to help us understand “Who is Billy” a exercise question asked in the preface of the book by Noel Tyl. Reading this I relate to my Scorpio Neptune. At 1 degree 3H. Opposing Sun. Sextile ASC & Pluto. I don’t think you dip more than your toe into Asteroid waters - maybe you do- but that goes along with Psyche @ 1 degree Virgo. Conjunct that 0.11 ASC. How do you spell ‘reality check!’ Aisle 4! Well, I’m about a mile up the trail of the transogram. The highest Uranus inspired peak comes in late spring, ‘08 Is Pt 2 required reading as well?IP: Logged |

If it's any consolation Node I do the same thing. I circle all around before getting to the point. In therapy years ago my therapist told me that I do that. My husband always says try to say it in a 1000 words or less.  I have tons of Pluto in my chart. It can be annoying to some folks but a lot of people have told me they think it's cute. I have both Pluto and Neptune influences. IP: Logged | |
