Most of the MP3/MP4 players listed here on Ebay
with 4GB or 8GB of memory (except legitimate Apple Ipod's or Nano's) actually have
1GB OF MEMORY OR LESS!!!

There are thousands of people ripped off every month, paying a higher price for these players, believing them capable of storing 4GB or more. Once you try and store more than 1GB, the player will corrupt your files. If you use the this software tool and guide to reformat the memory, you will quickly discover that the player actually has less than 1 GB of memory.

The flash memory in these players is the highest cost part. So fooling potential buyers into believing they are getting a player with 4 times the memory of other players for the same price is the bait that many people fall for.

ALSO - many of these players have a worm or virus on the software that comes with the player, or stored on the player!

If you are thinking of purchasing one of these MP4 players, PLEASE take some time and look through the sellers feedback, and watch for negative feedback for exactly this problem.

Contact me for more information about this issue. I can supply you with website addresses to read more details.

***CUSTOMER FEEDBACK***
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"This happened to me today... I went to put songs on mine... it was fine... As soon as I reattached it to my computer, it asked to format my drive and it was actually a 100MB, not 4GB, as described... Thanks for warning us!! So, now I have to fight with my seller for my $$$$ back... Any suggestions???
Thanks again for your help... You rock! Its ppl like you that help ppl like me, the consumer!"

"Thanks much for saving me from being ripped off. You are providing a valuable service to eBayers with this info. I suspect that these MP3 players are only the tip of the iceberg with scam consumer electronic products."

"Just wanted to say thanks for being a consumer advocate! I got ripped off at just before Christmas on one of these. Paid $75 for one that was supposed to be 4GB. After reading your site, I am sure it's a hacked player (the seller is on the black list). Thanks for keeping me from wasting any more money! You are a great person!"

Hi, I would just like to congratulate you on the work you are doing with trying to stop ebay sellers selling dodgy mp4s. It's a massive problem that I have been a victim of twice. I recently bought a mp4 from '*******' The listing says its 8GB but it turns out only 1GB of that can be used for songs. I didn't realise this until I read your listing and checked it. Thanks for your help.

I'd just like to say a big THANK YOU. I have 2 8gb mp4 I was watching, thinking how cheap they are and no postage costs even though they were being shipped from Hong Kong. Decided to have a bit of a look and came across your page. You have saved me potentially a lot of grief and headaches. I am always a bit dubious about buying anything electronic off eBay. Now I realise I have good reason to be...cheers

Question: I bought one of these hacked MP4 players from a seller on eBay.But I´m afraid if I leave him a negative feedback he will leave me a retaliatory negative feedback. What can I do about that? Thanks.

My Answer: I used to worry about negative retaliatory feedback, and I used to worry about less than 100% positive feedback. I no longer worry about it, it really isn't that important, especially if you are only a buyer. There is space to reply to negative feedbacks, which I always put a short explanation of what REALLY happened. At least you can feel better that maybe you are helping prevent other people from getting scammed.
