We all read them. They exist as Pop Astrology in virtually all media. Sign on to your home page and there they are. Pick up a magazine, newspaper, For-Sale circulars. Most of those are astrology at it's lowest rung. Better left lining the birdcage. So why would a esteemed member of the Astrologers Union; lauded by peerage- write daily scopes? Sydney Omar's' name comes to mind when I think of track records. His track ended awhile back [died] but someone is on his money train as they are still being published. So- other than money why do it? Is there more validity than this skeptic can see?IP: Logged |

i think the prime reason is money but apart from that it could also be popularity so that they can get big clients and it makes their portfolio shine.IP: Logged |

Well put Node! Maybe they tried to publish books and articles but couldn't find anyone to publish them and by writing for those dreadful bird cage liners they are able to stay in the profession they love and make some money? Just a theory. IP: Logged |

I think that a whole lot of people interested in Astrology get their first exposure to it via daily horoscopes. As such, I think it's important that non-hacks are doing these horoscopes - sure they can tend to be pretty general, but at least a reputable astrologer who knows what they're doing isn't going to be completely random with it. IMO it lends Astrology more legitimacy when that small part of Astrology that most of the uninitiated/uninterested are exposed to (daily horoscopes) is written by someone reputable. IP: Logged |

Isis that is one fine argument! You are absolutely right. It seems in this age people are looking for guidance, a muse, someone to put they're chips behind. But then, that is a whole other rant of mine, Thanks to all that exposed me to sites I have not visited before. IP: Logged |
