I am pretty sure that if we go around in life looking for negative experiences/people we will find the same...I am also pretty sure that if we go around in life looking for positive people/experiences, that is exactly what we will draw to us... As I did the other day...and this is just one of the many positive experiences that I drew to me.. Add Yours!!!! IP: Logged |

I have a Pisces moon and Cancer rising so I am naturally attracted to and in awe of water. These are all pictures of my beloved Lake Huron. Lake Huron at the mouth of the Au Sable River. Part of my little world garden with two of my grandkids, Ceri and Brody dancing in the yard in the background. Doesn't get more postive than that for me. IP: Logged |

Wow, that's some houseboat that Gilmour has, HD. I could live there though I might redo the decor. Think it is a bit overdone for my taste. If I win the mega millions lottery I will contact you about it. Beautiful beach in Turkey, JG. Washington State is beautiful and I hope to make there one of these days, Zala. Those pictures are just beautiful. Node, that looks like fun but I am a big chicken and I think I would take one look at those big rocks in the water and pass on jumping into it off a rope. Mirandee ~Lake Crescent has its legends -- like being bottomless (it is QUITE deep) and having a loch-ness-monster-type denizen of the deep http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/getaways/34427_crescent09.shtml The water is ****really**** cold -- but Sol Duc Hot Springs is nearby That's the commercial/touristy one tho..... there are other hot springs on private property in the Cascade and Olympic mountains -- hike in, shed your clothes, and sit for hours, ahhhhhhh..... I've floated on an inner tube in that cave in the last pic here: http://www.goldmyer.org/Springview.htm IP: Logged |

~ Mirandee ~re: **I could live there though I might redo the decor. Think it is a bit overdone for my taste.** that pics' not the interior to d.g.s' pad :-) it's from one of the holiday houseboats in kashmir .. re: exspensive .. well the housboat itself i.e the basic bits .. not necessarily loads of money .. many folk here like to convert old barges 'n such for live-aboard accomodation .. but what is the main bug in the ointment as it were .. is the cost .. and scarcity of residential moorings regarding the interior to d.g.s' studio-houseboat .. if you google 'david gilmour houseboat astoria' there is an internet video tour of the interior ( i've not actually watched it myself ) .. although there was a tv programme about some of his recording sessions aboard it .. a while back .. :-) IP: Logged |

LOL hippiechick. I guess with David Gilmour thrown in even I could get used to the interior. Though if given the choice I would take Roger Waters if he only owned a canoe. HD, I couldn't bring up that site. Seems the site is not available any longer. But I did find this video of David Gilmour with glimpses of the interior of his houseboat. I read that Gilmour purchased the houseboat in 1986 and it must have cost a fortune as I also read that is a historical boat. It's listed in the historical boat archives. Quite a history the Astoria has and David tells some of that history in this video. http://www.mefeedia.com/entry/3272356/ This is something I did not know about David Gilmour, HD. Thanks for the info. And David Gilmour's interior is very, very nice. His exterior is not bad either. hee hee IP: Logged |
