I just wanted to Thank-You for coming here and Sharing all Your Stories, Beauitful Art, Gift's, History, Emotions, You Share with so much Heart & Soul!!!Thank-You!!!! Here's a little Spirit for You:
Eagle... Fly high, Touch Great Spirit. Share your medicine, Touch me, Honor me, So that I may know you too. 1 Eagle Spirit
Eagle medicine is the power of Great Spirit, the connection to the divine. It is the ability to live the realm of spirit, and yet remain connected and balanced within the realm of earth. Eagle soars, and is quick to observe expansiveness within the overall pattern of life. From the heights of the clouds, Eagle is close to the heavens where the Great Spirit dwells. The feathers of Eagle are consided to be most scared of healing tools. They have been used for centuries by shamans to cleanse the arura of patients coming to them for healing. Within the belief systems of Native American tribes, Eagles represent a state of grace achieved through hard work, understanding, and a completion of the tests of inition which results in the taking of one's personal power. It is only thruogh the trial of experiencing the lows in life aswell as the highs, and through the trial of trusting one's connection to the Great Spirit, that the right to use the essence of the Eagle medicine is earned. If you have pulled this symbol, Eagle is reminding you to take heart and gather your courage, for the universe is presenting you with an opportunity to soar above the mundane levels of your life. The power of reconizing this opportunity may come in the form of a spiritual test. In being astute, you may recognize the places within your soul, personality, emotions, or psyche that need bolstering or refinement. By looking at the overall tapestry, Eagle teaches you to broaden your sense of self beyond the horizon of what is presently visible. In learning to fiercely attack your personal fear of the unknown, the wings of your soul will be supported by the everpresent breezes which are the breath of the Great Spirit. Feed your body, but more importantly your soul. Within the realm of Mother Earth and Father Sky, the dance that leads to flight involves the conqueringof fear and the willingness to join in the adventure that you are co-creating with the divine. If Eagle has majestically soared into yuor cards, you are being put on notice to reconnect with the element of air. Air is of the mental plane, and in this instance it is of the higher mind. Wisdom comes in many strange and curious forms and is always related to the creative force of the Great Spirit. If you have been walking in the shadows of former realities, Eagle brings illumination. Eagle teachs you to look higher and to touch Grrandfather Sun with your heart, to love the shadow as well as the light. See the beauty in both, and you will take flight like the Eagle. Eagle medicine is the gift we give ourselves to remind us of the freedom of the skies. Eagle asks you to give yourself permission to legalize freedom and follow the joy your heart desires. The Eagle is very good medicine. But in life you can't choose which animal power you want to possess or gain that type of knowledge. They come to you, any animal, like the bear possesses the knowledge of different types of medicines and herbs. The wisest is the turtle for their life is long and eventful, they possess wisdom. The eagle is the only bird that flies so high, closest to God. In an eagle there is all the wisdom of the world. Say if you are planning to kill an eagle, the minute you think of that the eagle knows it, know what your planning. Thr black tailed deer has this wisdom to. This deer, if you shoot at it, you won't hit it. The deer just stands there and the bullet comes right back and hits you. It's like somebody saying bad things about you and they come back at him. And if you follow this black-tailed deer into the woods he'll get you lost.If I need a answer about my Traditions that I can't answer, I'll just ask my kunshi (grandmother).

Yes, and the deer too. Another piece of woksapa that Eagleman passed onto your regarding your animal totem the deer is this: quote: Thr black tailed deer has this wisdom to. This deer, if you shoot at it, you won't hit it. The deer just stands there and the bullet comes right back and hits you.

LOL Yes, I was stalking you because you seemed to be the only other person still up to talk to. And because I like you. Couldn't sleep. Have been having insomnia bouts the past week and I haven't a clue as to why. IP: Logged |

I'm not sure about my animal totems as I love all animals, but as a child the horse and the lion both seemed to feature in my dreams and day-dreams; the horse I think represents my souls innermost desire for freedom and the lion for strength and courage, which is needed to assist this sensitive soul! Now I don't know about the animals over seas, like lions, elephants, monkeys and any other animal that's native to any country besides this continet. The animal I like the most over seas would have to be the elephant. From the discovery channel I would watch about the animals. Elephant is very family orientated. Like I seen a baby elephant get stuck in some mud and started to cry for it's mom. Well the mom came and so did the herd to help this baby out of the mud. loyality like the meercats. Elephants would go off alone when their time is near. A lion has the status of king and the roar, no wonder he has the females go out and hunt. He'll take food from the heyenas. I never seen a male lion go out and hunt on t.v., only the females. None the less the lion will still mean power.IP: Logged |

It's good to know about the good side and the bad side of native life. So far I've been writing about the good side but let me write some stuff about the darker or bad side of all the native culture not just Lakotas, these are from all the natives on this turtle island. Here's a story from the Pawnee Tribe.During pow wow time they would watch for a really beautiful woman. More importantly they would look at her eyes. The story goes that a really beautiful woman would come to the pow wow and all the men would notice her. She would hypnotize the men into following her and the man would leave with her. But in the morning they would find the man but his genitals trampled and the man was dead. This woman they speak of called Deer Woman. They made a movie about this native legend you should watch it sometimes. IP: Logged |

Tree Dwellers or Little PPL. These ppl are considered not good or bad, only messengers. There's a story in a park called Sica Hollow ( Bad Hollow) that's in Sisseton S.Dak. A family was having a picnic with a video camera, and after the meal was over they view the tape. What they saw was the Tree Dweller in the background. The little ppl were surrounded by a green light or orb. From what I heard that whoever watch the tape then something bad happened to them or their family a few days after. The tribe destroyed the tape but I don't believe it. They wanted to put the tape on Ripley's believe it or not. Another story about this Sica Hollow is that the was war on this ground. Then there was this farmer who was combining his field at night. He saw a person in front of the combine so he stopped. This person took one big jump onto the combine looking into the window at the farmer. The farmer said he saw red eyes and froze up. His son found him the next day because he was gone all night. When he found his dad he was in a fetal position frozen in shock at what he saw. When he came to in the hospital he told them he saw someone or something jumping around the combine and had stopped in front of the combine. Myself, I believe this story because alot of things happen on the reservation. Both white and natives can confirm this story. This happened at Sica Hollow or close by Sisseton S.Dak. between 1998 and 1999. Reply if you had any experiences like this. IP: Logged |

It was very interesting reading about the ways of your people ... My sami ancestors were actually allot like the native americans. They too believed in spirits and the powers of nature and stuff... Living WITH nature and not of nature, you know? Anyways, I was told by a sami psychic about my "spirit-helpers" and so on... She said that I had some humans, some animals and ... Fairies (???:/) Among the humans were this native american called Orwack and his horse, and so my animals were the horse, a whole family of deers (this I already knew though - I always run into deers and they're never afraid of me), but also an eagle, a rhino and two animals who had been pets of mine in a past life (a cat and a dog). I was sceptic at first when I was going to wisit her, but I believe in her now. She was able to tell me things that I've never told anyone - and certainly not her. Also, she was able too see my dead aunt and guinea pig - as spirits. She described to me how they looked -and even told me the name of my guinea pig! I was speechless! Oh well, I'm a little off subject now. I think what I meant to say is that I really enjoyed reading about your people, especially as I can relate to it. IP: Logged |
