I was was wondering if anyone can explain the meaning of synchronicity in your life. What does it really mean? What does it mean when you have synchronicity continually with another person? Or does it not mean anything at all?

Random events happening at the same time where it would be improbable for them to even happen at all. Or, two people, performing the same action (let's say buying flowers for the other person), this is unknown to the other (and buying flowers is not something either person would normally do) and the two are to meet later. They meet and surprise each other with the flowers.

Two people who haven't seen or talked in years, you think of them and a short time later see that person.

Usually there is a tie, connection or meaning between the two events.

This happens to me all the time with this person I have met. Just yesterday for example, I randomly ran across a quote from a famous poet and liked the quote and sent it to him. it was about instant love and attraction. Right after sending it to him I told him I called him and was telling him that I was interested in taking belly dancing classes. We were also talking about where we were going to plan on going for dinner for our upcoming first anniversary of knowing each other. As we were talking, he googled the poet that I sent him because he liked his quote. When he googled him, a restaurant came up near the city where we live that was actually called the name of of the poet I just emailed. On top of that, they have live belly dancers:O This sort of thing happens ALL the time and I have tried to forget about it because it is starting to freak me out and it happens at least once a week for a year now.

I know about this and yes it will drive you insane especially when it continues to happen day in day out. And that is what it was doing to me. It has died down alot but I still exprience it. Its directed towards a guy friend of mine. His bday would pop up Sinderlou like you were explaining when I would look at the clock or prices for certain things it would just jump out at me. I remember on several occasions I woke out of my sleep and looked at the clock and it was his bday. Or I would be talking to a person and they might telling me a story about people that I did not even know and say the name and it would be the same name as my guy friend. Or on several occasions I have taken business cards from men anywhere from Car salesmen to Security alarm systems salesman and their name is the same as his. Its been time where I Was driving and thinking about him and I happen to look at a car license plate and bam the first three numbers is his bday.. I have even had it where we drove right past each other on the street and just look at each other like hmmmmmm...I have had do many of these all kinds..So I do know what you are talking about dear..

Synchronicity

An Acausal Connecting Principle

Jung's only extended work in the field of parapsychology aims, on
the one hand, to incorporate the findings of "extrasensory
perception" (ESP) research into a general scientific point of view
and, on the other, to ascertain the nature of the psychic factor in
such phenomena.

While he had advanced the "synchronicity" hypothesis as early as the 1920's, Jung gave a full statement only in 1951, in an Eranos lecture; the following year (he was seventy-seven) he published the present monograph in a volume with a related study by the physicist (and Nobel winner) Wolfgang Pauli. Together with a wealth of historical and contemporary material on "synchronicity", Jung describes an astrological experiment conducted to test his theory.

"The concept of synchronicity indicates a meaningful coincidence of two or more events, where something other than the probability of chance is involved. Chance is a statistical concept which 'explains' devations within certain patterns of probability. Syncronicity elucidates meaningful arrangements and coincidence which somehow go beyond the calculations of probability. Pre-cognition, clairvoyance, telepathy, etc. are phenomena which are inexplicable through chance, but become empirically intelligible through the employment of the principle of synchronicity, which suggests a kind of harmony at work in the interrelation of both psychic and physical events."
-The Journal of Religious Thought

This book provides a useful companion to Jung's Synchronicity: An Acausal Connecting Principle (Princeton) and reveals the full extent of Jung's researches into a wide range of psychic phenomena.

These paperback editions of C. G. Jung's writings are chosen from the Collected Works, translated by R.F.C. Hull and published in twenty-one volumes as Bollingen Series XX. The excerpts are selected and grouped thematically to introduce Jung's writings on issues and themes of contemporary interest. http://www.matrixaccess.com/images/products/synchronicity.jpg
