*Le Sigh...*

Sharks, Snow Leapords, Wolves, Panthers, Raptors (birds of prey,) and all you other fine fine meat eating creatures out there:

On behalf of all of those who actually try to understand you for you, I apologize for the stupidity of mankind and this thread. Seems like some of us spend tad too many hours watching Bambi videos.

Xodian, there are certain situations in which we might act on impulse. Say, like there are instances when I have interefered when my cats attack the birds, or dogs chasing hen etc etc..... Whatever is shown in the above videos are also that natural impulse. It is natural too..... but it becomes an issue (just as the case of everything), when someone is overly relying to change the natural progression of things. Now imagine a group of people, weilding weapons and roaming in the jugles of Africa (and elsewhere) and killing all the meat eating animals? Imagine they going rounds in a mobile and serving banana and corn and rice to Tigers, Bears and Lions?

And that is why Sav, I dephor organizations like PETA; who for the most part have presented nothing but shakey extremist views coupled with extremely twisted data and so called "facts" to back it up.

I actually am a long time supporter of the WWF and will continue to be for a long time. Those guys actually know what they are talking about and know what they are doing and a lot of their research contradicts a lot of stuff PETA claims to be facts.

aye aye Xod, I hear you and I agree completely as well. We have an organization here called CUPA, and they are doing good effort in sheltering animals and taking care of them. I can agree with PETA too as much as their ambulance service and other medical help they provide, but that extremist view? no, I don't. As I mentioned elsewhere, there is no sanity in releasing lab animals out in the open. Same goes for the broiler chicken and other stuff too. They were grown to be eaten, and releasing them to the nature is the biggest cruelty one can do to them. They wont even know to pick and eat food......

Now, I never support mistreatment either, because I am also aware of lot of cruelties such animals undergo in the process.... there is "humanity" even in killing them. Treat with care....

PETA does some good things too like rescuing animals from floods and other natural disasters.

Though I agree. People being as we are do in many instances take things to the extreme.

In nature some mommies kill their own babies though so everything in nature has it's opposites.

Mice eat their own babies. For the first time in the history of the world due to the melting of the glaciers in the artic regions of the world polar bears are now being forced to eat their own young to survive.

In nature the law is survival of the fittest and animals by instinct will do what they have to in order to survive. We humans also have that same strong survival instinct.

I don't think carnivores are evil, OMG Jay. They are only doing as nature designed them to do to survive. They don't kill other animals for evil purposes. They kill other animals to survive. It's instictive for them do so. Just as it is instinctive for all mommies to protect their young.

Exactly Mirandee. For instance most herbivore mothers instinctively present a test to their new-borns. As soon as have finished giving birth the mother gives the new-born a certain amount of time to get on its legs and try to keep up with her and the heard.

If the new born isn't able to keep up with the heard, its usually abandoned and left to die. Would be label these herbivore maternal actions as cruel? Well according to Darwin, I don't think so.

Xodian what the hell are you angry about? The video is about animals saving their young...idiot. How can that possibly p**s anyone off?

Don't like the videos? Then don't look at it feo.

And yes. Carnivores are evil. I hate them all. Carnivores will always be in denial about where their meat really comes from.

For example, cows having their throats slit, being shot in the head, and having their stomachs cut open while they are alive.

If those demon carnivores were vegans like other lions then I'd be happy. but they are not. So I could care less about them!

What anger? All you seem to provoke out of people is a feeling of utter annoyance.

If you do not want to engage the whole truth of a situation, that's your own little problem. Don't place judgmental labels on things that I KNOW you have no clue about.

I do recommend you ACTUALLY do some research and then present your views more coherently. Your posts clearly tell me that you stray away from actual academic sources and stick way too close to propaganda.

?!?!?!?!

Lotus... Do you see now why we need moderator control on these boards? Lol!

The videos aren't what I am concerned about. Its about presenting another POV to the fallacy you have cooked about carnivores being some evil creatures.

Think there have been enough sensible responses made already. If you choose not to consider them then as I said... That's your problem.

Some people raise their own animals for meat so that they know exactly what they eat, and how they are treated, and what is in their meat. And to ensure that they have a meaningful existance.

Some people like to eat meat. It's tasty.

What about plants? We shouldnt' kill them either. Maybe we should all learn to live on air! But then, wouldnt' we be killing the oxygen? And what about the poor Carbon Dioxide? What do we do about that?

Maybe we should all just kill ourselves now, and save the carnivores the trouble...
