Girl Seen In Sexual Assault Tape Found Safe
Police Now Calling Man Suspect In Incident

LAS VEGAS -- An investigator said a young girl who was shown being sexually assaulted in a homemade videotape has been found and is safe with family members and Nye County sheriff's officials.

Nye County sheriff's Detective David Boruchowitz told The Associated Press, "We found the victim. She's safe."

Nevada authorities are still looking for a man the previously had called a "person of interest" in the case, but are now calling a suspect.

Authorities said a warrant has been issued for the arrest of Chester Arthur Stiles in connection with the case.

Stiles, whose last known address was Las Vegas, is also wanted on unrelated state and federal warrants on charges of sexual assault and lewdness with a minor younger than 14 years of age.

Authorities said it is "possible" that Stiles is the man shown on the videotape assaulting the girl.

Investigators were led to Stiles by tips after photos of him and the girl drawn from the videotape were widely distributed.

Last night in bed I cried and prayed and asked God to save this child and prayed for the safety of all children.

I know that many more people were praying and sending protective light her way as well.

It has been answered.

I don't know what the maximum sentence is in Nevada but I hope this man is taken out of society for the rest of his life. And I hope they also find out who the others involved in this are and they get the same sentence. There was someone else in that room taking the videos. Would be nice if they could arrest all the perverts who watched that video on the internet too.

LAS VEGAS (Sept. 28) - A young girl who was shown being sexually assaulted in a homemade videotape has been found, an investigator said Friday.

"We found the victim. She's safe," Nye County sheriff's Detective David Boruchowitz told The Associated Press.

The girl was with family members and Nye County sheriff's officials Friday.

Chester Arthur Stiles, 37, was being called a "person of interest," Nye County Sheriff Tony DeMeo said, in the search for a girl with haunting eyes who authorities believe was 4 or 5 years old when she was raped and sexually assaulted in the video.

The girl is called "Madison" on the tape, and it is "possible" that the man seen assaulting her is Stiles, DeMeo said.

"We're hoping if he has any information about this victim he'll give it to us. Hopefully, we'll find out she's OK," DeMeo said at a news conference in Pahrump, a town 60 miles from Las Vegas.

Investigators were led to Stiles by tips after photos drawn from the videotape of the girl and her attacker were distributed widely, he said.

"This is breaking our hearts," DeMeo said. "She shows no emotion during the brutal assault - no crying, no emotion, nothing. You look in her eyes, her spirit is missing. That's the emotional part of this."

Stiles, whose last known address was Las Vegas, also was wanted on an unrelated warrant alleging lewdness with a minor under 14 years of age, police said. DeMeo added that Stiles is a registered sex offender, but he could not provide more details.

Investigators determined that the video of the attack was recorded over the video of an 11-year-old girl recorded in October 2005 through a window of a Pahrump home, DeMeo said.

Investigators identified that girl, now 13, after releasing photos drawn from the video and matched her to records of a "peeping Tom" report at her home. No one was found outside the girl's home when deputies arrived, and the girl wasn't assaulted, authorities said.

A 26-year-old Pahrump man, Darren Tuck, surrendered the tape to Nye County sheriff's investigators Sept. 8 after another man reported seeing it, said Nye County Sheriff's Detective David Boruchowitz. Tuck was arrested on charges of promoting child pornography and possession of child pornography, both felonies, and released without bail pending an appearance Nov. 26 in Pahrump Justice Court. The top charge carries a possible sentence of up to life in prison.

Tuck told detectives he found the videotape in the desert outside Pahrump more than five months ago. Investigators don't think Tuck made the tape, Boruchowitz said.

Tuck's lawyer, Thomas Gibson of Pahrump, has characterized Tuck as an innocent middleman who should be credited for giving the tape to authorities.

Someone needs to post the actual events surrounding this case. Did the parents not report her as missing?

I would not think the police would put her back in the custody of her parents if they did not report her as missing. If the child was not reported as missing the parents would have been the first suspects when she was found.

Was the video taped through this child's bedroom window in her own home or was it taped through the window of the home of the man who was assaulting the child after he kidnapped her?

Yes, I would assume that if she wasn't crying or showing pain or some emotion she most likely was drugged so she would not struggle.

The man who gave the tape to the police and who was distributing the tape to other pediphiles is just as guilty as the man who assaulted the child. He is just as bad because he was making money off the abuse and mistreatment of this baby. He should get life for that too. Without a chance for parole. It's a bunch of BS what his lawyer said. He will be making money off the misery of another child as soon as he put back on the streets.

I will check the background of this case and I am sure will hear more about it. Will watch the news tonight and see what they say. But if anyone does have the whole story of this child would appreciate if they would post it here for all of us to read.

Really, I only cared that the child was rescued. That is what I feel is the most important thing and that the police have a name and a strong suspect who has a history of sexually abusing children.

"We have found the child, Madison. She's safe. The detectives say she is in good condition," Nye County Sheriff Tony DeMeo said.

The girl, now 7, was shown in a sex video made four years ago, Detective David Boruchowitz said at a news conference Friday night.

She was found Friday with family in Las Vegas.

After attempting without success to find the girl's identity by themselves, police appealed to the news media to show the girl's picture, which CNN and other news organizations did.

Thousands of tips poured in, leading authorities to the girl, Boruchowitz said. Once the child was found, DeMeo asked the news organizations to stop displaying her picture.

Officials said they do not think her mother was aware of anything that went on with the girl.

Chester Arthur Stiles, 37, a resident of Pahrump, Nevada, has been identified as a suspect. Pahrump is about 60 miles west of Las Vegas.

Stiles is not related to the girl, but had a "several-tiered friend connection" with her family, Boruchowitz said.

DeMeo addressed Stiles directly: "Turn yourself in to your local law enforcement agency," he said. "Understand this: law enforcement not only has a long arm, but a long memory. You will not be forgotten by members of this agency or any other law enforcement agency."

The FBI is also seeking Stiles on state charges of sexual assault and lewdness with a minor under the age of 14 in a separate matter, DeMeo said.

There appeared to be physical similarities between Stiles and the man in the videotape, DeMeo said.

"Nothing that I have seen in my career comes close to what this girl has gone through. Whoever this person is is a predator that, as far as I'm concerned, belongs in custody and, if successfully prosecuted, in jail for as long as the law allows," DeMeo said earlier.

Detectives said the child showed little emotion during the rapes, indicating she may have been brutalized before.

Nevadan Darren Tuck recently gave police the videotape, saying he found it in the desert. Police said the tape was in his possession for at least five months before he handed it over to authorities.

Tuck, who also allegedly showed the tape to others prior to giving it to police, faces a possible 10 years to life sentence for exhibiting pornography and another one to six years for possession of child pornography, said DeMeo. E-mail to a friend

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (CNN) -- An intense manhunt was under way Monday for Chester Stiles, a 37-year old man whom police say is a suspect in the videotaped rape of a 3-year-old girl four years ago.

Also Monday, Stiles' former girlfriend told CNN she believes she put him in contact with the girl.

Tina Allen said she is "disgusted" and "mortified" at her role in bringing them together.

Nye County Sheriff Tony De Meo said Friday the girl has been found and is safe. He said the child's mother was cooperating with authorities.

De Meo addressed Stiles directly: "Turn yourself in to your local law enforcement agency. Understand this: Law enforcement not only has a long arm but a long memory. You will not be forgotten by members of this agency or any other law enforcement agency."

"He said he'd been in the Navy and, you know, I was looking for a strong guy to represent to my sons what I thought they needed to be," Allen said.

Allen took Stiles to a crowded apartment where her son and daughter lived. Also living in the apartment were a family friend and her 3-year-old daughter, who allegedly was victimized by Stiles.

"I'm disgusted. I'm ashamed, embarrassed, mortified," Allen said. "I regret every, every step I ever took; I feel bad for the baby."

Todd Allen, Tina Allen's son, told CNN he recognized his old apartment from scenes in the video. He said his mother and Stiles spent time together there.

Todd Allen said nobody realized the child may have been abused.

"She's what you'd expect a little girl in elementary school to be like," he said.

He said he never witnessed Stiles physically assault anyone.

"But I have seen him verbally and mentally assault many people," Todd Allen told CNN.

Looking back, Tina Allen said there were some warning signs. She said Stiles hit her once but she didn't file a police report.

She said she blames herself. "How could I not know? Why couldn't I have recognized something? Why are all these people going through this torture now because of me?" Allen asked.

Allen ended her relationship with Stiles a few months ago. She said she believes it will be difficult for police to find him.

"He will hide out in mountains if that's what it takes, he will hide out in a crowd, he'll find somebody who hasn't heard anything and stay there," she said. "He has skills. He knows how to hunt, I mean hunt with a gun, a knife, a bow."

Allen said Stiles stopped by her house last week for a friendly visit before his name was linked to the videotape. She said his appearance had changed. She said his hair was longer and he had put on weight.

Stiles, a resident of Pahrump, Nevada, is a former animal trainer, authorities said. De Meo said the FBI also is seeking him in a separate matter involving state charges of sexual assault and lewdness with a minor under 14.

The man who claimed to have found the tape in the desert and held it for at least five months before handing it over to authorities turned himself in Sunday to Nye County officials.

Darren Tuck, a Nevada resident who allegedly showed the tape to others before giving it to police, faces a possible sentence of 10 years to life for exhibiting pornography and another one to six years for possession of child pornography, according to De Meo.

Of course he was good with her kids. All pediphiles are good with kids. They go out of their way to be good to them so the kids trust them.

This is confusing. No where have I heard where she was found and who was with her when she was found.

the only thing they recalled of this time period is that a neighbor had babysat a few times for them and that on one occasion the little girl had become frightened by a man in the window. the mother called the local police department when she believed that there had been a peeping tom. the police investigated and were unable to find any trace of the event.

now last week when this tape was discovered the police were looking for the girl in order to be sure she was ok, alive, and not in any danger. the police didnt even know how recent this video was. as it turned out the video was about 4 years old. the man was no where around. the mother was never aware these events took place. the child was obviously now safe and doing ok. the police have verified that there had been a report placed by the mother about 4 years ago in which nothing was ever discovered regarding a peeping tom

the search continues for the man because he needs to be punished for his crimes.

the mother has recently enrolled her child into counseling to deal with these past events and learn more about them. the family does not believe however that the little girl even has memory of the events. she seems well adjusted, normal, and happy.

Thank you for filling me in on how it all happened Solar Justice. I have been so busy lately that I have not been able to keep up on the news so this story was confusing to me.
