 | posted September 29, 2007 06:28 AM ....we abandon our egos and stay connected, we realize that it doesn't matter what anyone says or thinks about us, as long as we know we are true to ourselves. If there are misunderstandings, then so be it. We can only try our best. There is nothing to fear. We don't need to fight or feel defensive if we can remember (though it is hard) these things and stay connected.

quote:"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, "Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?"
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesn't serve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that
other people won't feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give
other people permission to do the same.
As we're liberated from our own fear,
 our presence automatically liberates others."

Some good song lyrics by Shakespear's Sister if you feel you need a boost! walking through the rooms in my headi came across your image
you looked at me with that sweet smile and said
something they won't let me repeat
we hurt the ones we love the most
it's a subtle form of compliment
i don't care if you talk about me
i don't care if you write it out in stone
whenever i fall i land on my feet
 i don't care, i just don't care
mark the spot you hate with an x
then shoot your bow and arrow
do your worst get it all off your chest
i'll hold my breath and swallow
we hurt the ones we love the most
it's a subtle form of discipline
i don't care if you talk about me
i don't care if you write it out in stone
whenever i fall i land on my feet
 i don't care, i just don't care
i don't care if you act like a queen
i don't care if you take it out on me
i've got 9 lives and i land on my feet
 i don't care, i just don't care
[ out of the alley, i spoke came victoria ]
 [ queen victoria sitting shocked
 upon the rocking horse ]
[ of a wave said to the laureate ]
[ this minx a course as sharp as any lynx ]
[ and blacker deeper than the drinks ]
[ as any hottentot without remorse ]
[ for the lynx said she and the drinks you can see ]
[ are hot as any hottentot and not the goods for me ]
[ hot as any hottentot and not the goods for me ]
i don't care if you talk about me
i don't care if you write it out in stone
whenever i fall i land on my feet
 i don't care, i just don't care
i don't care if you act like a queen
i don't care if you take it out on me
i've got 9 lives and i land on my feet
 i don't care, i just don't care
quote:"Ego is no more than this: identification with form, which primarily means thought forms. If evil has any reality - and it has a relative, not absolute, reality - this is also it's definition: complete identification with form - physical forms, thought forms, emotional forms. This results in a total unawareness of my connectedness with the whole, my intrinsic oneness with every "other" as well as with the Source. This forgetfulness is original sin, suffering, delusion. When this delusion of utter separateness underlies and governs whatever I think, say and do, what kind of world do I create? To find the answer to this, observe how humans relate to each other, read a history book, or watch the news on television tonight.
If the structures of the human mind remain unchanged, we will always end up re-creating fundamentally the same world, the same evils, the same dysfunction."

 | posted September 29, 2007 06:32 AM It would be nice to evolve some sort of telethapy of the heart; empathy. A feeling, knowing inside how we are all interconnected. Empathy/ love would be a a law in itself.
If only we could feel and understand all each others feelings; to see into each other's soul. There would be no need for retribution, etc. Empathy and love would be a law in itself. IP: Logged |

Now - THAT is an absolute truth! quote:Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.

Even though these words might be philosophically true, I have difficulty digesting them. I need to meditate upon this more, but here is an off-shoot thought - the reason for our greatest fear is a false pride that we are stronger and better in the things, which in reality we are not capable of. I know I may need to explain more on this, but I can do it only after I myself think it over. IP: Logged |

 | posted October 02, 2007 04:23 PM This could be a woman thing. I remember talking about this with a gal i worked with many years ago. She was born in India, by the way. Anyway we were talking about women in the workplace and womens roles in familys. She said one time " if i really used my power ( personal power to be herself and say no to things she didn't want to partake in) I'd be scared to death.
