Has anyone read the books and/or seen the movie(s)?

The one made in the 80s is a little weird, I have yet to see the sci fi channel version, but I heard its longer and more complete.

Dune is full of so many amazing spiritual and political truths, I think I may just have to read it again!

Dune is a great read; A great epic to start off with if you are just getting into Sci-Fi.

Personally though I would recommend Tad William's "OTHERLAND" series for those who want a more Spiritual based Sci-Fi genere. IMO the Wakowski Brothers may have taken OTHERLAND as inspiration for their Matrix trilogy.
