We are such creatures of habit. One of my favorite stories is about
a woman who always cut off a piece of the roast before she put it
in the oven. Her husband asked her why she did that and she said
because her mother had taught her to do it that way. He asked her
mother and she said her mom had always done it that way. He asked
the grandmother and she said because otherwise it wouldn't have fit
in the oven.

Your filter system was created to help you feel safe and secure and
now it probably stops you from being as successful and happy as you
could be. The problem parts of your filter system are rather
outdated. What are you still doing because of an old belief,
assumption or agreement? And is it getting you the results that you
want?

Live life deliberately. It takes 21 days to create or break a habit (perhaps longer if they are financial habits).

You should toot your own horn for that, Bluemoon. Beyond that I will give you some big toots for working so hard on breaking that habit and still having the resolve you do to not cave in. To you!!!!

Wish I could break the habit of smoking. I have tried so many times and failed that Smoke Stoppers gave up on me.

I always cave in when I am stressed out about things or my nerves get frazzled. I am high strung.

Subconscious behavior problems are the hardest of all to break and I learned that smoking is part of that subconscious behavior problem with me. I am a psychologically addicted smoker and use it to supress feelings or calm emotions. I think it goes back to the babyhood where a bottle or pacifier calmed us. Anyway, Smoke Stoppers told me that it is harder to break the smoking habit for those who are psychologically addicted smokers. I quit once for 3 years and went back to smoking during a long period of stress.

They say it is easier to get people off of herion and other drugs than nicotine addiction. So Good Work Bluemoon!!!!!!
