We do miss you, Pid.

Not only is she making up for lost time with her hubby but I bet she is having fun fixing up her new home just the way she wants it.

Sags love new adventures and Pidaua has a whole new adventure to live out with Leo Bear and her new country.

Looking forward to having you back sharing it with us, Pid. In the meantime, enjoy and I wish you and Bear all the happiness in the world. But we still miss you.

Did Pid mention if she was hooked up to the internet yet, Lynda?

Last she updated she said they were very slow there in Germany getting her hooked up but hoped it would be soon.

I'm finally online!! I missed you all so much. We have had issues with the German telecom people getting DSL hooked up but now we are online . I am so excited. Bear is busy playing Spades on his computer right now and I am catching up.

Silverstone,

I just got your e-mails. I will write you soon. Thank you so much for thinking of me (us).

Germany is still beautiful. We plan on visiting friends in Darmstadt this weekend as well as going to Worms. I take my driving test next week.. oh sooooo much to learn. Hopefully I will pass the test easily but things are MUCH different here.

The house is looking great. We are getting ready for Christmas. Thanksgiving was cool since we were together, but Bear worked the night before and then had to go out to pick up those returning from Iraq. We have had over 1500 people return and soon we'll be at full capacity.

The landlords rule. I've learned how to shop on the economy (most American's that live on Post or near Post are afraid to go into German stores because of the language barrier). My landlord showed me the ropes and introduced me to great German food items and the veges are to die for .

I'll be on ALOT more now... Although it will be at odd times since we are between 5-9 hours ahead of the States.

Bear is doing well... kicking butt at work (I get to tag along with him about 1-2 times a week, which is fun). I also spend a few days a week walking with Kristine (our landlord) and her big dogs. She is teaching me German and I am helping her with her English. We walk through the countryside and the towns nearby. It's so beautiful...even with the fog.

Hugs and love to all!!!

Walking a dog in the countryside of a foreign country while learning and teaching respective languages with a friend......a more sagittarian image I cannot conjure.

Cool!

Solane- thank you

BR... I have to pinch myself to make sure it real at times. Kristine has two beautiful German Shepherds that are well trained, one is almost 14 and the other is 4 (Santo- he was abandoned two years ago and almost died but was rescued after wandering in the snow). Kimba is the newest one and she is a boxer mix from Spain.

The neatest thing about walking with my neighbor is that she and I understand the medical / technical terms because of how similar they are in both languages. We also tend to use our hands alot and sound things out.. LOL.. like walking charades. Our husband's make fun of us saying that we speak geek in both languages (She is a Taurus with a Gemini Husband- and Cappy baby)

Mirandee,

I'll definitely take pics once the sun decides to peek out . I'll be online for another 30 minutes then I need to get ready to go for our walk in Arnstein. It's another gorgeous town.

It's good to be back online and see you all

Hi Pidaua,

I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. You're welcome for the well wishes. Have a slice of Stollen for me this Christmas By the way, isn't your mum German?

I went to the Mexican Caribbean for Thanksgiving week and it was so nice! I really enjoyed the warm tropical weather, sunshine, snorkeling, and most especially - not having to cook or clean for a whole week

Cheers,

Aphrodite

Yay for Mexico!!! I miss the warm weather (although it is not too bad here).

We spend the weekend in Darmstadt and Weisbaden. It was beautiful and we even toured a Christmas fair with our friends. Next weeked we'll try to get to Worms.

Yep.. my mom is German and Cherokee- her grandparents came from these parts and spoke fluent German.

I'm happy you are doing well. You deserve it
