Nope, not at all...
I am already blessed by having Jupitar as my natal sun, shouldn't go pushing my luck, LOL!

I also believe we chose our name for it's purpose prior to our incarnation...

I have wanted to change my name, but I do feel my current name has treated me fairly well.

My real life name is another story. I've thought about scrapping it numerous times.

Nah, First learn the lesson why are you named that way.

Then consciously decide to change the name after you are transformed.

Step at a time

Shakespeare says "Whats in a Name?" LOL

i am in a tough place about my name. linda's description is exactly right for my name, including the fact that because i was born on a 4 day, crappy things (can) happen to me with it. i've considered changing my name maybe BUT the number is really awesome despite that.. and i actually HAVE learned a lot about why my karma was to get this name.

funny thing is, too, the guy i'm seeing's last name adds up exactly the same as mine, so if we get married.. it'll be the same!

Wouldn't change it for the world .

Funny thing:

I actually had an opportunity to find the meaning of my name. Its an ancient Arabic word so it took a bit of time finding out the correct sources.

Turns out, the name means "The bringer of the Apocalypse."

Gives a new meaning to the famous line:

"I have become death... destroyer of worlds."

Mine birthname means:

First:
the blessed one, she who brings joy

Middle:
fairy, elf
Faith, confidence, trust, belief

Maiden last:
defender

I would only change spellings not change name.

I agree with yourfriendinspirit.. I'm not very fond of my name being that it is soooo common, but I believe there are reasons as to why we have our names that in some way shapes who we are.
Also...if it isn't broken, don't fix it lol!

I love my username (means "to make glad") and my real name "God is gracious".

As far as taking my husband's name? I didn't do it completely with my ex-husband but with Bear I have proudly taken his last name (even professionally- which is something I thought I would never do since most in the science / vet community knew me by my maiden name).
