Yes, it never worked! I remember it maybe working for a short while when I first came here, but that was long ago!

Maybe it's something to do with bandwidth??????

Someone asked awhile ago and Randall replied something to the effect of, in order to get Search back there would have to be an upgrade, but the upgrade would trash all the LL smilies in every post.....

My personal feeling is that absent-smilies are a small price to pay for having the Search functionality back -- this site is such a fabulous and priceless treasure-trove of astrological and other metaphysical/health/spirituality information..... I wonder how important emoticons are in light of the possible Life Knowledge that could be gained.....

It's the nature of software upgrades that functionality is both gained and lost -- are smilies really that big a price to pay?? So we lose some at the time of conversion -- we move on.....

Goodness Gracious. It's nothing to be upset over.

One thing you can do is to just scroll back pages and find your topics. You can kind of estimate dates and timelines based on what is on certain pages. Good Luck.

At FFA page 161 goes all the way back to 2002. That's close to 6 years of posts. So maybe the search function really isn't all that necessary.

If you know the name of the post you are looking for it is easy. Otherwise you have to look at a lot of posts.

I never used the search function. At CE the search function never worked either.
