Name at least one.

Here are a couple of mine:

  • Move somewhere new within the first quarter
  • Produce/Record at least 7 songs (it's astonishing how little music I created this year)
  • Spend more nights away from the TV and internet (doing something productive with the computer is ok)
  • Develop business idea (already in mind)
  • Learn how to create electricity generators

Ok, so it was more than I thought I would write out. There are more I'm leaving out.

My dad suggested that I might learn this computer code language for my business idea. This book is outstandingly entertaining so far:

Why's (Poignant) Guide to Ruby (free e-book)

Okay, one New Year's Resolution.

Not to make any New Year's Resolutions.

I find this is the only one that I can actually keep.

My New Year started off with an engagement ring.

This may just go down as one of the longest engagements in history.

My resolution is to sale my condo (This one depends on the housing market)

Exercise more

Travel more

Volunteer more

It seems there's a theme about Capricorns taking their time, eh BlueRoamer and 1Scorp?

It's how we ensure we get things right.

Congratulations 1Scorp! That's exciting!

I agree with Mirandee...

I make resolutions all the time, not just at the beginning of a year, so for me.. they are made i suppose.

I decided, not for the New Year, but in general the following:

1. To not let people's perceptions of myself get me down, and to strive to never prove myself to people, and let them find out on their own. It is uncomfortable to be misconstrued but feeling that I need to explain who I am, and what my intentions are is fruitless. So, I am letting people eat their humble pie - the whole pie, not just a piece.

2. I have decided to speak my truth loudly and if it is not heard, or rebuked, again... I will let them eat their humble pie later.

3. I to practice real love without pride. This means, I apologize when I feel I have done something wrong, but only when I feel that I have wronged someone, not to just keep the peace.

On a non-metaphysical note...

4. I have decided to carry on with what I am doing.

5. I have decided to write more, through my book or in essays.

6. I have decided to be more aggressive in reaching my goals.

7. I have decided to exercise, not by going to gym, but by dancing around the house and breaking a sweat.

8. I have decided to also record more songs but... not just for a project, but to just make a collection of work which, if I die, can be used like Tupac, and carry on releasing songs after I am dead.

9. I have decided to take acting classes because camera and theatre are totally different, more sutle, etc, and i do not want to over-act.

I wanted point 10 but... I can't think of the tenth thing. As I said, like Mirandee, I do not make resolutions but these are just a continuation of things I decided some time back.

Congratulations, 1Scorp!

I'm working on a new 101 Things list, since I ended up losing my notebook, and completely forgetting about the project, for a while. I did manage to cross about ten things off when the notebook was found, but I wanted to start again.

A woman named Christine Kane posted about choosing just one word - three at the most - to focus on for the year (here)

Things I'm pretty sure I can commit to:

Renew my passport.
Knit and assemble a Warm Up America blanket.
Put together an image file for possible sketching and painting projects.
Paint something - anything. It's been too long.
Grow my own vegetables.
Fill up my sketch-book.

There is more, but it's private for now.

On the wishful-thinking side of things:

Get a Canon Film SLR
Get a Canon Digital SLR
Use my renewed passport

AG...did I get an e mail from you? Just making sure before I click on the link.

Not anytime recently I don't think. I can't say that I recall writing you, though where correspondence is concerned I'm generally forgetful.

Thank you Teasel

I don't really think that I'm ready for marriage just yet. (Something about that word scares the Capricorn and myself silly). I don't see making it final for a few more years... maybe in our 40's.

I'm just happy with the commitment.
