The news was on my front page when I signed on. Went to astrotheme immediately. The first thing I saw was Natal Saturn @ 8 Virgo,,,looked across and there is Venus in 7+Pisces. Rough transits in many respects. He was very well liked, and had such a promising future.IP: Logged |

It is sad. He was very young and had a lot of talent. From what I read they are not certain at this time if it was a suicide. He had given an interview recently where he stated he had been having difficulty sleeping and the pills perscribed for it only worked for an hour. He stated in the interview he was very tired and getting worn out due to the lack of sleep. So it is possible that it was an accidental overdose. Still, very sad as he had a very bright future. My heart goes out to his family and those close to him. IP: Logged |

Blue q=Node not to mention Venus sitting on Pluto today opposing mars in Gemini Yes, I have Natal Mars @24 Gemini too. But the other transits didn't come next to my eye. The anorectic degree of Jupiter did. 29+ Cancer. I had a friend commit suicide [he was a coworker] 6/13/06 GValentine said something about Sag degrees and a proposed sag ASC. I need to go back and read that, as Sag figured prominently [death chart and natal] and a natal Scorpio Stellium in my lost friend. I am not saying that was the intent on HL part tho. I guess I use astrology to try to make sense of horrible things...it eases the mind to some small degree. Ultimately we are the drivers of our little cars.

Why are people more concerned with the deaths of famous people than, for example, the deaths of children we see on the news killed by the stupid war?Actors are just that- actors; no more special than you and I. Yes, he sounds like a wonderful person, but I did not know him personally. I just think its a shame that so many of these people in the industry destroy their worthy lives with these destructive, recreational drugs. Recently, a British children's tv presentor was sacked and arrested due to his girlfriend dying of a drugs overdose in suspicious circumstances, they think. For goodness sake, I wish people would stop putting CRAP into their bodies. There are FAR better, NATURAL highs! Jim Morrison and the members of his band claimed that drugs helped them become abstract and introspective, but it is definitely possible to be this way WITHOUT drugs. IP: Logged |

What, are the autopsy results in????Doctors prescribe medleys of drugs and if you take *anything* over the prescribed dose, it is considered an overdose. People don't always use correct judgement and caution when they don't feel well and may resort to taking more than what their prescribed meds state is the correct dosage. There is a lot of speculation and gossip in the news and people should not jump to judge! Emily, maybe someday there will be someone famous who loses their life who YOU may be affected by! YES I do care a lot about the 4 million children in Africa who are orphans and the thousands of others who are butchered to death and displaced from their homes. In fact, that is why I had "Luwalira" on my top friends, to give awareness to that!!! OKAY!!!! YES I DO CARE about the family in my county who's car was hit by a drunk driver; teh mother died, the father is in ICU, the 2 year old child has a broken foot, leg and other injury, and the other young child is in a body cast. OKAY YES I DO CARE!!!!!! I THINK ABOUT THEM ALL THE TIME BUT I DO NOT HAVE THEIR PICTURE TO POST ON MY WEBPAGE! IP: Logged |

I'm sorry, and you do have a good point there Nephthys. If it was someone famous who I cared about who had died then I would be upset.Because I tend to dwell on the dark side of life quite a lot, I can come across as a bit cold and numb sometimes. I tend to be very loud mouthed and outspoken when it comes to the issue of equality and the concept that all souls are beautiful and equal, whether or not they are rich and famous with super looks or whether they are poor and lack physical "symmetry". I get over zealous when I get onto such subjects because I feel so strongly about the lack of justice in our society when it comes to values and the issue of equality. It was not meant to be anything personal.

Thanks to all those who did not follow the gossip and speculate negatively ~ thanks to those who had true faith in him! Heath Ledger's Accidental Overdose -- The New York City Medical Examiner's office says actor Heath Ledger died from an accidental overdose of prescription medications. Police found bottles of anti-anxiety medications and prescription pills in his bedroom in SoHo where he was found dead on January 22. Ellen Borakove, the Medical Examiner's spokeswoman, says "Ledger died as a result of the acute intoxication by the combined effects of oxycodone, hydrocodone, diazepam, temazepam, alprazolam and doxylamine." The drugs are all generic names for OxyContin, a painkiller; Valium, Xanaz and Unisom. Ledger also had ibuprofen in his system. Ledger, 28, had complained about the difficulty he had sleeping while filming the last film he would appear in, "The Dark Night." A massage therapist found Ledger dead in his apartment. Her next steps have been questioned: she called actress Mary Kate Olsen three times before calling 911. Ledger's family in Australia released this statement: "While no medications were taken in excess, we learned today the combination of doctor-prescribed drugs proved lethal for our boy. Heath's accidental death serves as a caution to the hidden dangers of combining prescription medication, even at low dosage."
