That is beautiful, HD Thanks for posting it.

I could copy this pattern, embroider it and put it on a T-shirt to a friend. Or make a plaque out of it.

~ Mirandee ~
re that knot pattern .. .. i aim to reproduce it 'photoshop' or 'illustrator'..
i.e in a manner that would allow for a print at any size whilst retaining definition ..
i've probably got a font that would be similar to the pic as well ..
IF it works out .. i'll email you the file ..
i.e. in a format you could take it to a printer or whoever ..
re plaques ..
i once saw a programme about some guy who was making name plaques carved from wood ..
and his method involved making a black and white printout on a sheet of paper as a guide ..
although .. i've no idea of how it went from there .. i think he was using a router drill attachment ..
the end result looked pretty good .. :-)
also there are knitting/sewing machines that hook up to a computers with compatible software ..
actually am wondering if that sewing on the embrodiery was done via a computer somehow ..
all those 'n' characters in the writing look exactly alike each other ..
but then again .. i know nothing about sewing ;-))) ..
did try it once and vowed to never attemp to control a sewing machine ever again :-)
tangled mess would describe the result ..

A lovely knot and a lovely sentiment, HD ~
Thanks for putting it up!!

Note on sewing Even my non-computerized old Singer sewing machine has templates that you just snap on -- it makes all sorts of shapes and doodads and frilly letters with the zigzag stitch, which looks much like your sample above. All you do is fill the bobbin, set the selector to the template-setting and push the gas pedal..... ;-))

Thanks, HD. Would be great to have the pattern sized. Hope it works!

I never used a sewing machine. I like crocheting and embroidering with my hands. Takes longer but it is very calming and peaceful and great for meditating.

Like this one, Zala and think it is very true:

"Friendship that flows from the heart cannot be frozen by adversity, as the water that flows from the spring cannot congeal in winter."
