What's not to like?

I don't have cable so I had the Mother tape all three during some Jones Fest on some station last year. Now I want to watch them.

He still looks the same to me.

"not as easy as it used to be" hehe

No he doesn't Mystic and I actually like that . I admit I was a skeptic on how this movie might turn out but after seeing the trailer... Well, its something to look forward to.

But I still have to tease die hard Indy fans on how it just looks kinda funny seeing Harrison Ford swinging around with his whip Lol! I would have laughed if Indy's dad was in this movie and called him "Junior." Man I am bad Lol!

hehe no problem, just harassing you a bit

Here, you can get back at me...

I am going to go play Zelda on Nintendo 64. Yes, that is the latest video game system I have. I also have PlayStation. Little things make me happy.

I might have a Jones fest tomorrow. I have a nice lazy weekend planned.

It's a little disturbing to me that two young people including the one from Transformers are sharing the spotlight with Indy. I hope it doesn't change the tone of the franchise, though I suspect it might.

MM:

Nah! Why would I wanna do that ? It was a mistake and well, it got caught Lol! So, no reason to insult someone over that.

Or maybe I just happened to write Mirandee's screen name on because I might subconsiously value her being here over you . There, now we are even .

Lol! I am not a Zelda person... And I have taken great scrutiny over my disdain for that series. I think I still dodge virtual tomatoes because of what I wrote on Zelda Lol! Metal Gear Solid for Playstation... Now THAT'S a game.

Oh I wouldn't worry about that. Shia LaBeouf comes off as the dainty type and thus would not steal the spotlight away from Indy. If anything, he might just add to the "Comic Relief" moments in the movie (I hope.)

You can't value me too? boo hoo, well, boys don't like to be harassed by girls but I had to say SOMETHING. Can't have you calling out the wrong girls name all the time. That could get you into trouble.
I won't tease you about your spelling anymore, that really isn't very nice. You are such a good sport about it. I have a brilliant teacher who can't spell either. I have Mercury in Virgo so it stands out in a glaring way to me.
I didn't know you had issues with Zelda, I just thought that I was so behind on systems and games that I was deserving of some good natured harassment.

AG, I was thinking that might be trying to introduce a replacement. Kind of sad really.

MM:

Going a bit offtopic but:

Oh its not about harrasment; Just like to play along with the game . Insults are overated. You can't hurt someone with words unless you get them on a VERY soft side and luckily, I don't reveal those soft sides online. Getting mad over an obvious spelling mistake is just childish.

Well, Zelda just doesn't have that mind-bending story line like most new Action/Adventure games. If you get a chance, try getting a PS2 . It should be relitvely cheap now as compared to before. There is a game called God of War (Warning... Yes, its bloody and gory) but interms of storyline and gameplay... An Amazing action adventure game.

Or if blood and gore really disturbs you then, try getting an X-box (again, should be relitively cheap now) and the game called "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time." That game makes Zelda look small in comparison. A beautiful Arabian-Night-esque story combined with amazing game play. Prince of Persia is actually one of my game fav. series.

Have a look at the trailer:

I am definitely worried about that. Not "stealing" the spotlight per se, but just sharing it may prove enough of a turn off. His character was good in Transformers, and I don't think he's a bad actor or anything, but Indiana Jones' buddies are men, foreign men with thick accents, not little, mouthy American guys. Indy had plenty of comic relief previously without the ploy of using youth. I don't think that should change.

True that Indy's partners have always been thick accent prone Forigen guys but I guess Steven S. wanted to add something new to the movie after his success with Star Wars and the risk he took casting Christensen as Anakin Skywalker. I think he is hoping the gamble will pay off here as well. The problem with a continuation of a classic series is that its usually a catch 22 situation. Die hard fans usually end up complaining that its nothing like the originals and the regular movie goer would just write it off as "just another indy movie" with it being nothing TOO spectacular when compared to the classics; Just same ol same ol.

Would you be interested to know that they are doing a third "Mummy" as well? Lol! This time there is no Oded Feaur (BUD ain't gonna like that) or Rachel Wiez.

That trailer was excellent. I would love to play a new system. I just don't play with any boys anymore, so I don't get to share their toys. It would be worth renting a system to play that but my skill level would be lacking so I would still need a boy to show me a thing or two. After that, the student surpasses the teacher and all that.

MM:

A boy to show you? Pfft, babe; gaming ain't a gender specific criteria Lol! Should I post the link to the Fragdoll website again?

Prince of Persia ain't a hard game to master . If you have any questions about it, I'll gladly answer them once you give the game a shot .

I'll rent a system this summer

Did anyone make an Indiana Jones game or just Lara Croft Jones? Now that I mention it, I do have tomb raider for Playstation.

I tried to get back on topic there, see that? hehe

George Lucas makes Star Wars movies, and chooses the cast for those movies.

MM:

Awwww, it ain't like that . I am just not the person who gets attached to people online on a personal level UNLESS on very rare occasions (and those people know who they are.) That doesn't mean I am not friendly . Well... Most of the time anyway Lol!

Acoustic:

NOW that I have my coffee and am not confusing names Lol! ... Wellll, yeah you got me there and most people did not approve of Hayden being in SW anyway. To quote a response by a movie buff, "He seems so... Emo."

But still, I'll give it a go knowing Lucas and his attempts at "plausible" risks. Here is hoping Indy doesn't flops.

Hayden was brilliant in Life As A House.

I didn't mind him as Anakin. The last three movies sucked because the scripts were crap. Lucas would have been better letting someone else tie the story up.

Mystic, I'm not buying that. I think I just came to Xodian's mind cause he was talking about old people. LMAO

And speaking of old people, Harrison Ford and Sean Connery still look great for their age. I think Sean Connery has a portrait in his closet.

Georgie writes the Star Wars movies too!

He lives in my county and Lucasfilm, Lucas Learning, and Industrial Light and Magic were all located in my immediate town until recently moved to S.F.

Skywalker Ranch is in my town.

Acoustic:

Hmmmm, actually I will give Ep. 1 and 3 the credit it deserves without co-relating it to the earlier movies. The reason being because I was well impressed by Lucas and his vision of distant far off worlds like courasent, and Naboo. The way he integrated cultures and weaponry of the different civilizations was quite a treat to see.

Most people for instance don't like "Cronicles of Riddick" with Vin Diseal being in there but actually I loved the movie and its tie-in with the events of our world .

Mirandee:

LOL! Oh babe, do you think me that shallow ? I have yet to sit down and talk to you face to face but so far, I love your attitude towards life and your easily going humour.

Thanks for the Mummy heads up X. I have watched both an embarrassing number of times. No Oded??? . And I would see the new Indy no matter who they cast, or what media hype says.
I have yet to see Vin D in a boring action flick. I have liked them all.
Re: Script and casting for the early chapters of SW. [most recent releases] I agree that the scripts were weak. But all of the story has focused on the appeal to the adolescent in us all. The one who watches the Three Stooges, or reads comic books. I think Lucas kept continuity. [and achieved] a flavor reminiscent of his boyhood. Had he turned over the creative dynamic to someone else a certain degree of sophistication, a waft of scent, that might have stimulated our minds, [as opposed to heart over mind] might be introduced. The connection to the old style Western would have been weakened.
Hayden and Portman were a bad call to me. I did not feel chemistry. None at all between those two. And I agree with the comment about the brilliance of the Lucas vision integrating all of the different civilizations and cultures.
Q=And speaking of old people, Harrison Ford and Sean Connery still look great for their age. I think Sean Connery has a portrait in his closet-
And speaking of westerns anybody see 3:10 to Yuma? I am really glad I went to the theater for the first viewing. The DVD has a truly excellent xtras section by a directer [spoken] that is worth the rental all by itself. Really like Bale/Crowe... well the entire cast does brilliant work.
