yeah for zanya and goatgirl! I'm thinking, zanya, that if you can't beat them, you should possibly join them instead. Juni is very middle of the road politically, which I think is necessary in GU. But she's turned down a recent offer, so I'm guessing she won't accept another. Juni was a moderator a few years ago, but I can't remember what Forum. IP: Logged |

Zanya congrats. NAM also visits often I think and is a good choice too.I think ultimately users must be able to flag derogatory and disrespectful posts on their own. And the moderator can then delet all flagged posts. But well, it may require money to be spend on modifying code so it may not be an option I suppose. And what if no one flags such a post? Then it will end up being read by new comers and that is not what we want. IP: Logged |

Congrats, Zanya!I think Randall should keep moderating Global Unity. I would like to see Mannu moderate, but definately not GU. By the way, Mannu, what are you doing spending so much time in Global Unity lately... he-hee? IP: Logged |

I don't think you would be a good fit as a moderator either IP: Logged |

My sincere thanks to all who have nominated me for Lexigram Magic! If Randall will have me I accept. Lexigramming is one of my main passions for well over 40 years. I would feel at home at Lexigram Magic. ------------------ "Still out looking for Schrödinger's cat........." IP: Logged |

Thank you to all those who suggested me as an addition to the Mod status, and Thank you to Randall for the offer. I appreciate the kind gesture very much I'm touched that you would think of me.At this time I feel I must decline as I'm due in about 3 months and am not sure how much free/extra time I will have available to me. And as the days grow closer to May, I find myself with less and less time on my hands. If I were to take on a mod position I would want to be able to do justice to that. I don't know that I will be able to do such at the moment. I hope you can understand. Hugs, GG ------------------ The truth is ... everything counts. Everything. Congratulations on your impending birth GG that's wonderful.Silverstone, I couldn't agree with you more I think BUD is an interesting choice and would bring a refreshing new outlook to GU. She's smart, articulate and a sweet girl who controls her temper. (a plus in GU) IP: Logged |

To Each their own BlueRoamer The important thing here is to respect each others right to hold a different opinion. That's a fine line to walk in a political forum. lets not fight tonight ok IP: Logged |

One thing we can always have faith in....is BlueRoamer's sarcasm. No, I love you really, but you're always setting off that "sarcasm detector". We'll have to make sure we always have enough batteries to maintain that alarm. I caught some of that sarcastic wit earlier as if it was contagious or something, but I decided in the end it might offend. Best to keep a harmonious blend. There, that rhymes. IP: Logged |

I think LEXX certainly contributes enough in LM to be considered for moderatorship and I'd be pleased to share it with her.I think BUD would make a good choice as perhaps one of several moderators in GU. Clearly, concern about political bias would be an issue to some (all?) and a balance from the start would set the right tone, imo, instead of pretending no one would notice/care. I also think Randall should keep mod status there, too, just in case. Artlovesdawn would also make a really good moderator, imo, perhaps in Pilgrim's Progress? IP: Logged |

artlovesdawn has deleted most, if not all, of her posts in what seems to be a very committed choice of leaving LL.She was one of my favorites to read and I've been missing her. IP: Logged |

I think Eleanore's the obvious choice for GU. She's neither too conservative nor too liberal and she has the uncommon quality of keeping her temper. I haven't run into any here on LL with a finer sense of fair play. But she already has lexigram duties. Can you handle two Eleanore?IP: Logged |

I personally nominate Elenore for modship in GU . She would make an excellent edition to the group and her insightful and well balanced views are always well welcomed by me (and I hope many others feel the same way.)I would also like to nominate BUD for the GU moderator's position since she is articulate in her views and does gives a solid reason to back up her positions. Apart from any bias she has, I know she is well capable to keeping the peace in an unbiased manner with regards to forum rules. IP: Logged |
