imho, it's the WORDS we write that matter, not the cutesy little teal-jumbo-grins
People like jane are already preparing the way by swearing off smilies completely -- you Saggies are Soooooo ahead of your time!!!
I'm not up on how it works behind the scenes, but mightn't we still have a clue about what smilie WAS there after an upgrade, by the code that's left behind, such as colon-angel-colon??

I remember when the Search function *did* work, a few years ago -- it was FABULOUS to have all that information at your fingertips!!! What a treasure trove this place is -- but we cannot access the treasure except with lots and lots of time and painstaking scrolling and clicking
Google and the other search engines just do not cut it. A search-string that would've gotten 20 hits in the LL Search function gives you maybe two from Google.....

Hi friends!

You know what I was thinking, that is in total harmony with this thread?
It might be cool, that instead of page numbers, it was arranged by month or year, as a heading.
If it wasn't hard to go in the crypts and change the format......is that impossible/improbable?
