It is after 02:00AM now and I cannot sleep. It seems that insomnia has crept into my life as of late. It is a quiet weekend too as I didn't feel the need to go out. I keep on thinking of the Internet and wanting to be on it all the time . Does this mean I am addicted? Probably. Thank goodness for broadband at least.Drinking coffee now (decaff), can't afford to drink normal as it will keep me up for a week, and I need sleep. It is now officially Fathers Day. Will be out most of the day with Dad. how will I survive without having a sleep? I will have to manage. I have Kylie's " In My Arms" song in my head now. My mind is racing with 10 000 thoughts going in all directions.

I've lived with an insomniac for 15 years, his is from a head injury. Apparently the worst thing to do is to lie in bed watching your partner sleep (if you've got one) or lying there thinking "I can't sleep". Posting cr@p on the internet is helping with my stress-induced migraine so if that works for you as well, why not? Hope you have a good day with your Dad, maybe you'll nod off in the car at some point. IP: Logged |

i got sporadic insomnia too. since i've moved i thought it'll be fixed by jetlag but i had the exact sleeping schedule as before (falling asleep finally at noon). but my diet changed drastically under a circumstance and it got better a bit. my insomnia comes from anxiety. i used to drink 3-5 cups of strong coffee daily, smoke like a chimney, drink alcohol. now i've stopped all of it and switched to asian diet (i'm in asia, so naturally). i think this balances out my body in a good way, but being in an unfamiliar society doesn't help level my mental balance... so i still got problem sleeping but it's a bit different than the problem i had before. but maybe changing the eating habit does help? i heard cutting greasy food but i've developed constipation on contrary...
