Hello Mystic, are you interested in some amateur tutoring? You don't need to say "me" before "hablo" or "entiendo", if you're trying to say "I" the word is "yo", and "me" is for when something has happened to you, for example, "Me canse" (I got tired), "Me dieron cinco dolares" (they gave me five dollars)
It gets pretty complicated to explain now that I think about it actually, because the word "mi" can be possesive or identify yourself (whatever the name of that case is, nominitive maybe??) example...

1. Esta es mi casa. (this is my house)

2. Me dieron todo a mi. (they gave everything to me)

Translation can get tricky; in the second sentence, the first word "Me" holds many possible meanings. Notice there is no word for "they" in the sentence, but there are two words that could mean "I". This is because "Me" in this situation holds a background of information within (wow I had never realized this until now)and it is here saying that someone did something to/for you. I guess in all situations that is what the spanish word "Me" is saying, that someone or something does "blank" for/to you. Like when you say...

Me gusta el chocolate.

The meaning does translate into "I like chocolate", but what the words themselves or the semantics or whatever would actually more closely translate into would be

[The]chocolate pleases me.

I never had thought about how sometimes it's impossible to describe why some words are used the way they are etc... language is so weird

This thread has TOTALLY turned into homework And I have been lazy and trying to cut class lately... lo siento.

So, Obe... por favor!!!! si' si'!!! Teach away. I welcome it from everyone. I actually learned much of what you are saying but it was practically 2 decades ago and I don't remember. um no recuerdo? I remember as you say it though and that is fantastic.

And some of your more difficult words, Silverstone, are not available on that translation site I listed on page one so it was too difficult to make out that last post. I was trying so hard not to give up and give into la engles

Hey Mystic!

Sorry I missed your post...

I said, "Melodia Mystica- detodos modos aunque no sean tus poemas, me gustan. Tienes un toque especial al elijir esas poecias."

Which means: " Mystic Melody, even though they're not your poems, I like them. You have a special touch in selecting poetry.

Cheers~
