I live in the Bay Area and it is cold with a fog overcast. It feels like winter! This is how summers are in this region. It's 8:45 pm now and the sunlight is long gone . . .I've lived here for 7 years and I am starting to dislike it. IP: Logged |

It hit 100 degrees in my area of Texas today. Summer is my least favorite time. Bay area weather sounds lovely right now IP: Logged |

Amy I have missed you!!! Beautiful here ! After a nasty cold snowy frostbitten spring, a later summer hit and it is about 75 (average) and the flowers are really putting on a grand show. love, juni ------------------ ~ What we do for ourselves dies with us. Aphrodite, That is just the city weather! You live in Fog City! Just 20+ minutes away you can enjoy blue skies and warm weather!!! You should move to either Marin or San Mateo area. Just get out of the city. IP: Logged |

Very hot and humid as usual.I like it most of the time though. I work in my "studio" all day which is not air-conditioned so I've gotten used to the heat. IP: Logged |

Thanks for sharing, everyone. I liked each response - I needed some perspective Juniperb ~ How are you lady? Isn't life grand when flowers are in full bloom? Their beauty lives in the moment, right here and right now. There's wisdom in the old saying of slowing down to smell the flowers . . . Hi Nephthys ~ Are you still volunteering with the bird rescue? How are your dog and cat doing? LOL, I remember when you once said you guys weren't getting a cat, and within a few months there were pics of the new cat

Hi Aphrodite ~ No, I decided not to volunteer with the bird rescue this summer b/c I wanted/needed more time for myself, and I was working full time this summer for 7 weeks already. We now have 2 cats, 1 is Antoine, whom we adopted from the Petaluma Animal Shelter. He turns about 2 years old sometime in August or September. We also aquired our neighbors cat, who we re-named "Oliver"......he is a smokey grey, looks like a Blue Russian. He is quite the character and likes to beat up on Jasmine, my dog. Jasmine just got a really short haircut for summer and looks like a young puppy. LOL I have just 1 year left of going to Sonoma State and then I'll have earned my Biology/Zoology degree. I finished College of Marin last year and earned 3 degrees from there. Hope you're doing well ~ I don't go to the city much ~ did you hear that they are raising the toll on the GG bridge again?! Aww, I am happy to hear about your newest addition, Oliver. It's always uplifting to know when an animal has been adopted into a good home . You're in the home stretch with Sonoma State! Hurray, I know you'll do well!!! Yes I heard about the toll bridge hike. It sucks.
